Put one of these together. Seafood pizza. Made the dough and tomato base myself.

Ingredients include mussels, calamari, prawns and seafood highlighter. Sprinkled with low fat mozerella

Cooked in the weber, with hickory wood to give it that authentic wood fire taste.

A squeeze of lemon, a splash of tabasco sauce, all washed down with a Coopers Sparkling Ale. Bloody delicious :thumbsu:

The photo doesn't really do the taste justice.

I just spent an entire day at an Italian house stuffing myself until exhaustion, so I feel safe entering this thread.

Otherwise, I'd be bloody hungry right now.

Nice looking pizza bwst. What is seafood highlighter though? I think I know what it is. If you go to a fish and chips shop, and get a salad that has seafood in it, sometimes it has those pieces of seafood which are red and white. I've never had a clue what they are made of though....

Only seafood that belongs on a pizza is anchovy, and lots of it.

Having said that, the old man loves his seafood pizza with marinara mix, and with a wood fired pizza oven out the backyard, it looks a sight better than that one. ;)

Last I heard it was made with tripe. They sell the stuff for about 5 bucks a kilo, so you can bet your ass it doesn't have any seafood in it....:D

When i saw this earlier i didnt reply as it made me incredibly hungry, and staring at it any longer wouldve forced me out of work and down to any junk for store for a hit of sweet sweet fatty foods.

Now that ive eaten i can say it looks and sounds brilliant well done!!!:thumbsu:

I just did some internet reading on it and yes, it doesn't really seem to have much seafood in it.

Having said that, 'taste good but' :o

It's definitely a poor substitute for using fish pieces, but i don't mind it. It hasn't got tripe in it. On the packet ingredients say fish, but not what type. I'm guessing off cuts from stingray or shark.

This is what the packet has written - Seafood Highlighter - white fish, starch, salt, sugar, flavour enhancer (621), crab flavour, gluten, albumen, vegetable oil, vegetable gum (407), colour (120 natural), spices, water added.

Delicious looking pizza. :thumbsu:

I had pizza last night. Except it was one that had onion, capsicum, ham and cheese on it.
All home made and it tasted great. :thumbsu:

Sorry to spoil your party but Seafood isn't my thing. I am sure my parents would love you though. :thumbsu:

It's belated I know, but that's a nice job you did on the pizza, but instead of using seafood extender, buy a fillet of flake, dice it up and use that instead. Obviously more expensive but I used to buy 2 over there for $14 at Marion when I was over there in 2006. That's pretty reasonable for flake. Can't comment on the beer. Since I've been back in Melbourne I've settle back into the real stuff. :)
