I know from threads past over the years supporters have either shown us their tattoos they have had done or mentioned where they can them done or have posted many versions of Hawks tattoos through various web sites. I got my first Hawk Tattoo quite a few years and since 2008 I have wanted to get a new one. After going to the 2013, 14 GF's and celebrating last years success I decided to get a new one. I remember seeing one from a Hawk fan who posted it on such a thread a long time ago. I did my google search and found it. After tweaking it slightly and adding what was relevant to me being a Hawthorn supporter for over 50 years I got it done today. photo 3.JPG

Been wearing mine inside for over 50 years as well, the tattoo brings wonderful memories of great Hawthorn sides and some of the best players to ever play our wonderful game. Always Hawthorn

I know I'm probably asking for trouble, but "inside" what?

No pictures, please!

Tattoos are absolutely disgusting. I can't believe they're legal, it's essentially graffiti.

Couldn't you remember our premiership years? Is that why you needed to waste money getting them inked on your skin?

You what?

Unlike Geelong supporters, it seems we're willing to wait until the premierships are won before exclaiming the fact as tattoos. Geez, you'd hate to stuff it up through some sort of arrogant claim over flag ownership before it actually happens.

Feel free to keep your opinions to yourself. Might not be to your taste but no need to be a tool about it.

The humble pacific islander (and some Asian) tradition has been taken to another level by a minority, who are perceived to be artless and may have 'other' interest that is different to the norm.

To even support the handbags mean your ability to think has to be questioned, but they sure are suckers when it comes to Tatts.

I remember seeing a story about why you don't get Tatts overseas, it was about a handbag supporter after 07, wish I could find it, and he had the handbag emblem, just like that one, but had Day Premiers written above it, why would you get Day Premiers inked on yourself, why not just Premiers, anyway, the real problem was that "Gay" was written instead of "Day" by this absolute master Tattooist, who IMO should have got a medal.

Gay Premiers inked on a handbag has a certain justice to it, when you think about it for a second.

Pretty sure that master artist spelt Geelong wrong as well, and it was 'falling' out, was possibly the best bit of artistry I've ever seen.

As for the Hawk supporter who started this thread with his Tatt, what ever works for you, and to hell with what other judgemental people think.

PS: can we have our word back from the homosexuals, that is your word, not Gay !!

Geezz, where would the Rodgerson's be nowadays - was that what they were called? If so a funny name when they were always having "A having a Gay old time”!!

Also had "Right Arm" and "Left Arm" tattooed.

Yeah, I'd heard about that one too. Didn't blink an eyelid when Geelong were labelled gay premiers. You had to point out it was an actual error for me to make sense of the article. :D

This is a forum, mate. A haven for opinion.

Tattoos are an absolute burden to society. I automatically consider myself superior to anyone I see that has one. And rightly so.

Well I'm female, over 35 and I got my first tattoo a couple of weeks ago.
I've never had an issue with anyone who has tattoo's and I had never really thought about getting one myself personally.
But I love mine and will show it off with great pride.

Why are they a burden? Is there some sort of health consequence or something with them?
