And p.s you can still end up with decent stats even if certain parts of your game are poor. At the time I mentioned it was individual quality around the ball aiding those stats. You could absolutely screw a kick yet still win a contest that results in a score. You can still dump kick down the line to a 1v2 disadvantage but have quality markers in McKay and Curnow still win the contest that results in a score. You guys have quality players who are able to still win in that manner, hence masking your ball movement issues ad skewing the stats.

If you guys were a better ball movement team with that squad you would have been unstoppable. There's a reason why you kept getting undone every second week, and that unsustainable style is exactly what's coming to the fore now. Only so far contested footy can take you before the slog of it all tires out. Only for pure ball movement teams like Hawthorn to develop past you in a flash.

Can deny and argue but your team is literally in the position it is for a reason. It's so obvious why, yet alot of your supporters seem dumbfounded and pointing at the board and other irrelevant things. The answer has been staring you in the face for quite a while.
