Guernsey number printing

can i take my guernsey to punt road and pay them to print a number on the back? or do i have to take it to afl headquarters or something?

The Richmond club store should do it. Give them a ring or fire off an email to confirm. At Port a single number is $8 and a double-digit number is $16 for members so they shouldn't be too expensive either.

There's nothing worse than seeing a beautiful brand new guernsey desecrated by shitty plastic/felt sports store numbers.

thanks heaps mate, guess I'll ask while I'm down there tomorrow and take it with me just in case. I hate those felt iron on numbers and I will probably get the back of my guernsey (the number) signed so I want it to be legit to hang on my wall

I presume you mean the screen-printed on numbers, just like the ones the players wear, not the crappy pressed on numbers from Rebel, AFL Store, etc.

I would also like to know if it's possible to get them done properly too.

When Richo was retiring, I wanted a jumper with 12 on it but couldn't get one done. The only screen printed ones they had at Punt Road were 32. They said they only did the number printing when they had a large quantity to print.

you would prob have to buy a brand new jumper and get the number printed on when the jumper is being made.... i could be wrong though....

They aren't screen printed they are sublimated.

I got mine done at a shopping centre, at one of the AFL stores. This was a while ago though - but I got 12 and RICHO above it, I THINK I paid $35 for it, but not too sure. Obviously less if you just get the number. They're not felt, it's smooth and was put on well, has the afl logo at the bottom of each digit. Think I left the jumper there and picked it up the next day.

You can't get it any other way.

I've had 3 jumpers done with the heat press numbers and none of them have peeled off.

AFL stores do it exactly like they are on the players guernseys.

I rang soccerfever and they said 'i guess we can order some numbers in somehow but we're a soccer shop so generally we never do this'

Nobody does it anymore, I remmeber even Rebel Sport used have the proper numbers

If you already have your jumper, you can get numbers put on at rebel Sports or the AFL Store at Southland.

They'll do em on the spot for you too.

$15 for one number, $20 for two.
