Groove Armada DJ set?

I've never seen a gig with Groove Armada, but they are playing Summadayze here in Perth. But something I'm trying to figure out, what exactly does the DJ Set mean?

I'm listening to one of their dj sets over the net, and none of the sogns are recognisable. I've checked out their website, and they've got "Live sets" and "DJ sets" ... I'm guessing live sets are where they play their songs???

I've got no idea.

Groove Armada, like Kosheen, Basement Jaxx and Faithless are a 'live' dance group meaning they have a keyboardist, guitar player, drummer, bass player, DJ and any other extra people (I think Groove Armada have a percussionist as well).

A DJ Set is just the Groove Armada DJ playing a normal DJ Set like a normal DJ.

Last year at Summadayze in Melbourne they had the Basement Jaxx DJs doing a DJ set.

So yeah...A Groove Armada DJ set isnt actually Groove Armada

Dunno if I'm gonna go now.. might wait for a live set ... have they done those in Perth?

They'll just be playing groovy house stuff...a bit of their own stuff..mostly other artists..and yes most of it will be stuff that you haven't heard...but that will probably be because it's so upfront! And when they do bust out one of their own records you recognise..the more you'll enjoy the moment

Ahhhhhh........ it all makes sense now!

I'm going to Summadayze in Melbourne and I couldn't figure out how Groove Armada could be playing a gig in Sydney the same day.

Oh well. I'm still going. Chances are by the end of the night I won't have remembered who played anyway.

Groove Armada the group have toured twice in the past 2 years or so. I saw them last year and they do put on a good show.
