Glenelg today 28/06 v Sturt

I've lived on the street right behind the Bay Oval for almost 20 years now, and today was the biggest crowd i've ever personally seen for a Glenelg v Sturt match.

Any word on official numbers? Gee it's great to see local footy thriving again! :thumbsu:

That is absolutely massive. Am I right in saying that'd be close to a record for a minor round match at any ground in the last decade?

As a Glenelg supporter since 1979, a former member of Glenelg Cheer Squad from 1979 to 1984, and somene who attended every Glenelg Grand Final between 1981 and 1990 (I moved to Sydney in 1986), I cannot begin to tell you how thrilled I am about the win against Sturt to retain a clear hold on top spot in front of the biggest crowd at Glenelg Oval since the formation of the Crows.

I might have to come over to Adelaide soon for a home game. And I'll be there at the GF if Glenelg make it. Go you mighty Bays!! :D

I was there and it was huge, cant remember the last time I saw the outer side of the ground so packed. I reckon they learnt plenty from the Port game, was a lot easier to get a beer yesterday.

Lets get the wagon rolling to Prospect this Sunday to give the Roosters another touch up!

Would love nothing more than to see the SANFL get to a level where some SA kids decide not to go into the draft and can afford to stay home for there career and the odd out of contract(not just delisted) AFL player will head to Adelaide for a nice $100k+ a yr footy/job package.
