Have they still got the segments of Andy Lee doing painfully unfunny comedy with the players?  Maybe that'll get the viewers in.  I think there is bound to be some ratings drop off now that Federer and Nadal are both no longer around - people will need to get used to the new generation talent coming through.  Plus Ash retiring early would probably have the ratings dipping compared to 2-3 years ago.


Hoping Novak crashes and burns - but he has every right to be offended at Jones' shtick and he was well within his rights to not play nicely with the 9 crew last night given what occurred.




Even if he was - the risk you run though when you're not remotely witty nor funny, which Jones isn't, is that you just come off as being sincerely offensive.  That Tony Jones has multiple TV gigs is everything that's wrong with sports broadcasting at present.  Ken Sutcliffe was an empty suit but he was inoffensive so wouldn't have me clamouring for the remote - someone like Tony Jones has me looking for the mute button at the speed of light.
