Absolutely chucking it down in Manchester.

Both Arsenals goals have been belters that have resulted from some very lacklustre defending. Partey completely unmarked on the edge of the area and everyone was too scared to put a challenge on Saka for his goal too.

Nwaneri looks a talent, man england have some insane talent coming through still. If they find a young striker to come through at the level they could challenge for the next 2 world cups
I think having a quality manager is the biggest thing for England. If they can sort out their LB position as well they are looking strong for the Euros.

Southgate took them to back to back finals I'm not sure the manager really matters lol. Just need a guy who can do what the French do and bench good players for team balance.

Southgate got them to two finals but a decent manager would’ve won at least 1 of the last 3 major tournaments.
He had as stacked an international side as I’ve ever seen and yet he managed to get it so tactically wrong because he had his purple circle who were undroppable.

Yeah you kinda missed my point. Shit manager still got them to the final. I don't think the manager is that important. I could coach them to semi finals atleast I reckon. Good or bad manager as long as they drop a star or 2 for balance they'll be fine.

Agree to disagree then. I think the manager is the sole reason they didn’t win any of those tournaments.
Not sure how you can say the manager isn’t important and then say ‘drop a star or two for balance’. A good manager would’ve recognised that’s what needed doing, and done it.
If Tuchel was in charge at the Euros, they would’ve absolutely cruised to victory in my opinion.
They had the talent but the wrong man was utilising it.

Most people had never even heard of the Spanish manager who won the euros. A good manager yes but they don't need to be elite. I don't think it takes a great manager to figure that one thing out.
