Nosed out in the stakes and then getting the first 3 legs of the quaddie for 15%, had 2nd and 3rd. Frustrating day.

Spare a thought for the bloke who won a TAB promotion today and had 50k on Stirling Grove.

Ha, typical, get a free hit and go the easy option.:p:p

He should have spoken to Crazy Cars and had $25k e/w DUB.

CC

NB : bookies picking up their dinner money, another $70 winner in the last in Sydney - WTF

Good old dr turf chucked down under boy out about 5mins before the jump. Said it was a good thing at the odds. Never in doubt

Just watched the replays after being out all arvo/night. Not far off this massive quaddie...looks like another Sportsbet $50 free bet is coming my way for 3 winning legs and a placing.

Flemington – Quaddie R6, 7, 8, 9 (1, 2, 4, 7, 10, 11, 13/ 4, 5, 9, 15/ 1, 2, 9/ 3, 8, 9) for 33%

Trifecta in the last 3,8,9/1,3,4,8-10,15,16/1,3,4,8-10,15,16

Glad I started playing my tri's again after missing a large one in race 3 thru abstinance. Matriach for 25% and QE Stakes for 40% puts me back in the black after dropping $$ over the first 3 days.

Race 1

When I was at Caulfield for Thousand Guineas Day I wasn’t keen on betting in the 2YO race, but reading through the comments in the race book, the two that stood out to me were the two Patinack Farm horses, Trophies and Real Stolle. They were both 41/1 or 51/1 so I had a token $2 each-way on both of them. 7th and 5th they ran and by no means disgraced themselves (Jimando won the race impressively but is scratched from this). They’re both in this race here and with the experience of having the one start I’ll have a small each-way bet on them again at big odds.

(13) Real Stolle
(5) Trophies

Didnt have much of a clue in the first so followed this and got on at $26/$6.50 on track. Set up my day perfectly. Cheers to you :thumbsu:

Nice pick with AtF too in the Stakes. Jumped on King's Rose and was shattered when The Fat flew home. Still came out well in front for the day, and was one of the best raceday's I've been to over the years!

did stuff all during the day yesterday but then came home with an almighty rush in the last hour or so..

Started backing roughies.

Had:

Down Under Boy in the last in Melbourne (place only)

Mount Verde in the last in Sydney (EW)

and then for a laugh went with

Al Cavan in the last at Gosford (Fixed odds of $122 and $22)

Ended up $700 up for the day just in the last hour haha

Good stuff.

I had to follow up on those two Patinack horses, after I'd liked them at their debut runs.

When Albert The Fat hit the line first thing I thought of was that I'd better not be nosed out of a win for my third bet in a row, after being on both Eraset and Mahisara.
