It's only a week before Christmas, so it makes sense to celebrate the best Christmas film of all time with a game of Werewolf.



Equally, it's only a week before Christmas, so we've gotta get this one wrapped up well before I spend all of Christmas Eve wrapping up presents to put under the tree. For that reason the game will be STRICTLY limited to only 15 players and will start tomorrow (Monday 19th December) night.

BASIC RULES

Roles will be randomly assigned to all players. Roles will be communicated before the start of Night 1 via PM (Private Message) except for Villagers, who won’t be notified of their role. The Village must identify and kill all the Mafia and the Serial Killer before these players can kill enough players to satisfy their own win condition.

Each day will consist of two phases, starting with Night 1:

Night phase (9pm – 7am AEDT)
Players with night actions will nominate the targets of these actions via PM during this phase. These actions must be bolded and clearly stated to be valid. Actions will not be accepted after 8am whether or not deadline has been announced in the game thread.

Day phase (7am – 9pm AEDT)
After the results of night actions have been announced, all players will publicly vote to lynch one player during this phase. Votes will not be accepted after 9pm whether or not deadline has been announced in the game thread.

The player with the most votes by the time of the deadline will be lynched and their role revealed in the game thread. In the event of a tied lynch, there will be a multi-lynch i.e. all the leading vote-getters will be lynched.

VOTING

Votes must be in the game thread and must bold the player being voted, but there's no need to tag me. For this game, you DO need to provide a game-related reason for your vote for it to be valid. You'll know if your vote has been counted when I give your post a WOW reaction.

FAILURE TO VOTE IN ANY DAY PHASE WILL RESULT IN A MODKILL

OTHER REASONS FOR MODKILLS

• Failing to nominate a night action on TWO separate Night phases (choosing to not use an action is fine)
• Any communication about this particular game of Werewolf outside of the game thread, except for those that have an allocated PM group
• Any deleting or editing posts from the game thread
• Posting screenshots of BigFooty of any kind in the game thread
• Directly quoting any PMs from me in the game thread

• Hans Gruber (Alpha Wolf) - Night immune to kills; seers as if he is a Hostage (Villager); gets to seer a player of their choice each Night Phase
• Karl (Werecub) - No powers, but the Werewolves get an extra kill in the Night Phase following their death
• Theo (Manipulative Wolf) - Secretly changes someone's vote in the next Day Phase to a player of their choosing
• Harry Ellis (Wolf) - No powers

WIN CONDITION - Eliminate (Serial Killer) and equal or outnumber the Nakatomi Corporation

Neutral Roles

• FBI Special Agent Big Johnson (Serial Killer) - Night immune to kills; Seers as if they are a Hostage (Villager); Gets one kill each Night Phase

WIN CONDITION - Make it to the final 3 players

Nakatomi Corporation (Village)

• John McClane (Vigilante) - Can kill a player each Night Phase
• Holly Gennaro-McClane (Doctor) - Can protect a player from kill actions each Night Phase (cannot target the same player in consecutive Night Phases)
• LAPD Sergeant Al Powell (Seer) - Can seer a player each Night Phase; Always gets the true result; Does not know if they are the true or false seer and cannot seer themselves
• Richard Thornburn (False Seer) - Can seer a player each Night Phase; Always gets a randomised false result; Does not know if they are the true or false seer and cannot seer themselves
• Hostages (Villagers) x 6 - No powers

I would love to take part (love you Queen Wosh) but in all honesty, i am probably to lazy and or still not fully abreast of this role playing rules so I reluctantly have to decline my friendly invitation to this game.

Jimmy Stewart (GOAT actor) playing the GOAT Christmas hero (George Bailey) is something is my ideal Xmas role model, nor suited for this type of game at any rate.

Yes, but Due Hard isn't a Christmas movie, rather a movie set at Christmas

Firm agree. Due Hard (the esoteric character study of an overly ambitious ATO auditor who struggles to synthesise his department head's brazen tax dodging, leading to a downward spiral of addiction and vice) could realistically have been set at any time of the year, so isn't really a Christmas film.

Die Hard, of course, is most definitely a Christmas movie, which is certainly more relevant to this thread.
