I think you will find that Paris is in the English dictionary with its correct English pronounciation being 'Par-is' not 'Par-ee' just as you will find derby in the English dictionary with its correct English pronounciation being 'dahr-bee'

Words that are spelt the same can have two different pronunciations depending upon the meaning. Or vice versa.
e.g. read

It's our game, we call it whatever we want, if you go ahead and try to change ut then you ARE WRONG.
