If it comes to trading for Warner we need to try and maintain our 2025 draft hand as best as possible. Only way to do that is include players and futures.

Luckily both clubs are in different modes so have different needs. Win now vs rebuild

If the players involved can be convinced, is a trade like the below possible?

Kelly + Billiams OR Jilliams + F1 - for - Warner + 2nd OR 3rd rounder (a sweetener basically)

This trade gives Sydney that high pick in the 2026 draft as well as a competent, if not good goal scoring midfielder (when playing in a good side) that is in need of a change of scenery and a tall target that can help in the ruck that is stuck in a log jam of tall talent at WC. They may lean towards Jilliams, but happy for it to be either option dependent on wo McQualter likes come end of year. I reckon Jilliams would do well at Sydney.

WC get the elite mid that can build with the side and some collateral picks to help us land our NGAs while protecting our 2025 first rounders to use on the high end talent we need.

2026 midfield rotation and ages would look like:

Reid 21, Warner 25, Yeo 32, Hewett 22, Hutchinson 24, Graham 28, Rodriguez/Sharp 18, Gross 19 + maybe Allan 19, Chesser 23 if they develop into mids.

For this to work Kelly would need to play decent football this year. Something he is capable of doing, putting the recent match aside.
