Shane Charters has been paid up to $1 million by Essendon to change his story and try and get the players off the drug charges. Paul Little met with Charters and his famous "industrial negotiator" at a local football club organized by that clubs "colorful" president who also happens to have a son of the same name that works full time in the fitness department at the bombers.

No, this sounds ridiculous, you cannot hide a $1,000,000

It has to come from somewhere, it has to be disclosed by the recipient, and the AFL, not to mention higher authorities would crush them.

And I don't think you would meet anywhere in public where people may see you for that kinda deal from someone with Littles profile.

It sounds doubtful but really the criminal world hides these sums of money all the time, launder it through a casino deposit it in a bank in the Caymans etc, just look at Geoffery Edelsten who is bankrupt yet buys his bint a 160,000 dollar ring.

I wouldn't know how to do it but remember Charters probably has lots of contacts in the right places to make this happen.

If and that is a big if, it did occur I'm sure Little wouldn't be involved it would be a wealthy supporter and it really wouldn't be hard to do, but yes it all does sound a little far fetched, although Essendon did pretty much pay off Robinson to the tune of 2 million and that is way beyond any unfair dismissal claim would achieve.

is a plausible situation but surely it would have to be done even more secretly. if this was ever found to be true it would ruin many lives beyond those in the meeting

Who says it was paid by the club outright? There's ways to hide it. Blow out the cost of the 'Flight Plan' by a million bucks to 'contractors'.
