Cleary has been cleared of structural damage, but is in concussion protocols, so will definitely miss this game, and probably the next one or two given how serious the clash was.

I came on to post exactly this. Did anyone else feel the same? Even before JODs injury we looked exposed with only two KPDs and no obvious “third tall/medium” back there.

Buku in for Gallagher ( to get the balance right. Buku’s ability to play taller will help)

You and many others on here don't rate Buku like I do, but I just think his versatility is important. It was obvious we need another third tall in the forward half and he has strong hands and is an accurate kick.

I think it is one of Buku or Gardner in and possibly both if Buss does not get his chance this week.

All for Croft and Buss to debut. We are lacking height at both ends. They may not be ready. But we need them for structure at the very least. And no better time to give them a taste until we get some experience back.

I’m not sure this is a fair assessment of Dolan - an 18yo who was playing his first AFL game and who had an interrupted pre-season. He’s also about 60kg soaking wet and the step up from u18s to the pace of AFL is quite a large one. He will get stronger and more match fit as he matures

Need Gardner as a strong back who can stand his ground. I know he will mess up but we know what we get, and who else could better epitomise the battler bulldog spirit than him in our 100 year celebration?

Busslinger to finally come in and have a crack at Membrey or as a third up spoil. Great way to debut in front of 80k at the G.

Garcia in as we need some zip and aggression in the middle otherwise we'll get towelled up by Daicos.

Dolan did nothing wrong its just horses for courses.
