I said during the preseason that Pav no longer has the wherewithal to be a damaging key forward. He was never quick off the mark and is now painfully slow.
A swap between Pav and McPharlin would be interesting. McPharlin, in my opinion, would not only be a good marking target but would add pace and life to what is sometimes a moribund forward set up. Major downer is of course suspect kicking. That should/would improve with more time spent playing in the forward area. Trouble is people would mark it as a failure if he didn't kick 5 or 6 every other week.
At Pav's time of life, and given his strength and the depth of his kicking, half back or wing could recreate the Pav we used to know and love.
