Apparently on Saturday on the radio she said "I know I shouldn't be saying this because Croad told me off the record, but he really wants to come back to Victoria."

How can anyone take a journo seriously when she says things like that? Not to mention her claims about the North players taking a vote last year.

All her journalism is negative, she has a chip on her shoulder in regard to many issues, and her ability to comment about the game itself rather than back room gossip is non existent.

Are you serious? If I was Croady I would give her an absolute bloody ear-full. What a disgraceful thing to do if it is true. Take away her bloody journalism licence right there.

I heard the interview, and at no stage did she ever say that.

what she did say was that the impression that she got was that in his heart he would rather be back in melbourne, playing for hawthorn.

Note: her impressions, at no stage did she ever talk about anything that was said to her off the record.

i dont like caro, i think she fabricates sources for some of her stories to give them credibility but on this issue, she is clear.

Yep, far to negative. Every little thing she finds out is made out to be the utimate disaster for AFL footy.

Seriously though - I think there's a bit of truth in both schools of thought in this thread.

Yes, she does focus on negative, primarily off field issues and does delve into the gossip realm a little too much.

However judging by the volume of talk on BF about things like the pro-Vic finals venues arrangements, Jackson and Demetriou's levels of competency, and the Duck's spa related activities it appears people want to know about that stuff.

Does anybody here really believe they are getting truthful answers from footy administrators and coaches 100% of the time? Of course not - they are adept at the language of politics which involves telling half truths, avoiding questions or out and out fibbing. Wilson's biggest strength is her ability to ignore traditional footy interviewing etiquette and demanding a straight answer even though most of the time the interview becomes very uncomfortable as a result.

The emphasis on her appearance by some of her detractors says more about them than her.

I also think her bias towards Richmond is overblown - apart from acknowledging which team she barracks for she doesn't show too much favour imo..... but I would say that. I barrack for Richmond etc.
