Like the first time I saw a picture of Megan Gale, I found this an interesting piece:

I was thinking, "Seriously, Matthew Kreuzer, one of the 150 'Champions' of a magnificent club that's been around for a century and a half??!". So I had a poke around;

Whack that into excel and you've got 1151 players so far.
You get all the way down to just 310 players by picking out who got to 50 games - highlights how few get to that seemingly insignificant milestone; it's not that insignificant.
Cut out the players who haven't been there for 5 years or more, and you get down to just 213.
Knock out players such as Paul Bower, Setanta O'Hailpin and Jordan Bannister (please don't get mad at me if you think they're champions Carlton fans, I do count myself as a touch ignorant in knowing the intricacies of your players), maybe Kreuzer being (loosely?) referred to as a 'Champion' isn't so far fetched - unfortunately I guess it's kind of a filler for a 150 in 150 gimmick. Perhaps 50 or 100 might have resulted in a higher grade cut, but 50 in 150 doesn't have quite the same zing.
My apologies if this all seems a pile of crap, just figured a few others out there might have the same initial reaction to the story that I did.

Among the 150 'Champions of Carlton' are eight current Blues – Marc Murphy, Chris Judd, Andrew Carrazzo, Kade Simpson, Bryce Gibbs, Jarrad Waite, Andrew Walker and Matthew Kreuzer – along with the recently retired Heath Scotland and Eddie Betts, who is now with Adelaide.
To be eligible for selection, players must have taken part in a minimum of 50 matches over five seasons for the Blues.
