I am wanting to get a PS2 Chip and..

Can you burn Playstation 2 Games on a CDRW?
Hows it done?
Is it the same as music?
Do i have to have a DVD burner?

Thanks

You just make an ISO of a PS2 CD and burn it onto a CDR - but EA produced games won't work as they need a special crack even with a direct copy

PS2 games on DVD format are a different matter though and need pacthes/ripkits and other illegal devices to get them to burn onto a CDR unless you go out and buy a DVD burner then you just ISO it also

Ok, what is an ISO? Do you mean it is just like burning PS1 games on the computer?

And...how do you know if the game is on CD format, or DVD format?

Use CloneCD it makes an exact image of the disk
I'm not sure if there is any problem with playstation 2 reading them correctly.. i know someone told me once about having to get something put into their playstation (not playstation 2) in order to have them work correctly...
I just burn the games for them.. i dont own a playstation myself..

I wouldn't advise using a burning program that reads the data on the cd though... its not in a format that your pc will recognize and could freak it out just a little...

The best way to burn PS1 games was with CDRWIN, companied by a prog. called patchomatic: not sure if this still applies. A friend of mine has just sent away (to Hong Kong!) for a PS2 chip, which will enable him to play any copied disk, under any format.

This is where I got mine modded (for less than $100) and done in a few hours - and if you are game enough with a soldering iron you can do it yourself for $25
