Bucks Day ideas

I have my best mate's bucks day coming up next month and really need to organise something. Trouble is there's 30-40 blokes attending so unsure what the best course of action will be. Would prefer to avoid the stereotypical day at the races and do something a little different. Has anyone got any unique suggestions or good stories from bucks days they've been on? Cheers

I can give you a couple of suggestions
- For mine we went and played Lawn Bowls had beers, had dinner close by and then when to a pub and saw a band I like. Was a top night (from what i remember)
- Another one of my mates went paintballing and we all bought a package that included pizzas and beers for 2 hours then went to the pub, that was a good night.
- But I think the best one I went to was a mate who hired out a whole indoor sports centre and then we all played different sports Indoor Cricket, Basketball, Indoor Soccer etc it worked well as there were lots of blokes. Then we went to a twilight game of footy then into the city. The only disadvantage of this one was everyone put everything they had into winning and preforming well in the sports that by 10pm the night died as everyone was knackered.

The Bucks shows ive had/organised:

- Golf, expensive dinner, strip club
- Hired a secluded house in a wine region that slept 20 for a weekend, wine tours, dinner, golf & 2 days of solid drinking
- Karting, bbq, strippers, clubbing
- camping, loads of booze
- Houseboat
- Skydiving, bbq, loads of booze, strip club

Shooting can also be a good day, cost a bit like most activities but was a good different one i did. and i didnt think i would so keen on but loved it.

I would assume a pub crawl, strippers and a decent dinner would be mandatory.

Mate hired out a room at a decent (but not too pricey) hotel in the city (more apartment than hotel). Hired a topless croupier to deal poker all evening and had various strippers entertain during the afternoon/evening. Did this until about 10 and then heading to the clubs. Basically meant that for about 30 blokes it was something like $100 each for all the food/beer required (as he supplied himself) plus strippers. Plenty of room for anyone who wanted to crash in the city as well.

Topless waitresses / card dealers >>>> strippers IMO. Strippers are more expensive and it's such a structured setup with strict rules that kill the vibe. The toppos that I've experienced at my own and other buck's nights have been great fun and really keep the party going.

I think i paid roughly 200, without a meal or drinks

been to a few and have included:

- weekend away for golf trip and hit the pubs at night.
- races then pub crawl followed by strip club
- piantball then pub crawl
- at the bucks parents joint for beers/stripper, pubs then stripclub
- lawn bowls followed by pubcrawl

As for how much to charge it all depends what your doing. Normally if a stripclub is involved (hire of a room for couple of hours) then that will cost a 300-400 if i remember correctly. Paintball can be expensive.

But to work out how much to charge, work out how much your thing will cost, then divide by amount of people going

The last one I went to was a Paintball day and then a night of BBQ and drinking. Nothing to extravagant and we all had a good time and only a few people got hurt at Paintball. Including me.

Other than freezing our **** off at the footy (early August), it was a top night. The buck was even left with bruises on his arse to show the future wife.

I did indoor rock climbing in the city, then a pub for a few drinks, dinner at Maha, went to a little club that we had exclusively then to the rippers. All in the city. Was awesome. With what to charge folks just figure out what the buck would like and go with it. I wouldn't bat an eyelid at $200 for the activity then dinner etc on top but some people will crack it at having to pay $50 and would expect dinner included.

If you do an activity do it first and if people dont want to come then f**k em, they can come after. If you do an activity though you need a place for people to shower and change, can be logistically difficult.

I basically split the day into 3 stages and got people to 'opt in' to what they wanted. Thankfully the only thing I needed to grab money for in advance was the last leg, as that was the only part that required any sort of up-front payment.

Groom is keen to keep it low key so we are thinking 5-6 of us go up to Gold Coast for a weekend?...
