Would be a smart move by them...Gold Coast will throw stupid money at him again next year, and won’t even him to sacrifice picks this time around.
If you’re Crouch it’s a huge opportunity to be the face of the club, and more than likely push up the ladder in the coming years with the plethora of young guys they have, and are just about to take in.
Maybe Gold Coast also then also offer their first next year for Matt?
That's all he wanted wasn't it, a long term deal from Adelaide. Ask for five but very happy to settle on four years. Will sign with the Crows for 4 years by June
A lot hinges on how Adelaide perform next year. If they continue to regress, he’d be hugely tempted to accept a huge Gold Coast offer, if not sound out a Melbourne based club.
I doubt he’ll remain at Adelaide after next season.

you know he asked for a 5 year deal at Adelaide at the end of this year don’t you?
Crows wanted pick 1 or 2 he ain't worth thatGee...just read how badly he wanted out of Adelaide. How the suns let that one slip is a little mind boggling with how much they had to work with.

He is capable of speaking the truth..and certainly fits the rumours/vibe going around at the time regarding his possible departure.Sam Maclure though c'mon
No doubt.Crows wanted pick 1 or 2 he ain't worth that

What about the camp? Which ended up turning a premiership favourite into a rabble? He hates the crows how much has he written (admittedly they brought a lot on themselves) about them in the last 1-2 years.
Yet he still wants a 5 year deal here...go figureWhat about the camp? Which ended up turning a premiership favourite into a rabble?
Does he?Yet he still wants a 5 year deal here...go figure
Seems desperate to get out of there according to the report. Next to no chance he is at Adelaide next year. Should make for an interesting dressing room atmosphere in 2020. Free agency period next year will be interesting with Crouch and Daniher on the move.Yet he still wants a 5 year deal here...go figure
You've been listening to Damien Barrett haven't you...it's ok, GC still might make a big play for him last trade periodDoes he?
So he goes out of his way to write lies, puts it on air/to print...puts his reputation and job on the line because of his hatred of the crows...ok.He hates the crows how much has he written (admittedly they brought a lot on themselves) about them in the last 1-2 years.
Honestly this just seems like Barrett and Mclure trying to say although it didn't go through we are not wrong and all this stuff happened but all parties involved will deny it.
At the end of the day multiple sources from the crouch camp and close to him said he would be at the crows in 2020. But Barrett and Co kept on going. Kind of like they went hard based on some poor info and back themselves into a corner and just had to put the heels in.
The only truth in all of this is his agent doing agent things and using the GC as a stalking horse to push up crouch's price with Adelaide.
Honestly, unless your a fringe or delisted player do you really want to go there?
Crouch is not worth close to 1mil if that's what you're saying. Clearly neither stkilda or gold coast, desperate for leadership and talent didn't think so. He's just an accumulator with no hurt factor who isn't as good as Tom Mitchell.Worth every cent, plenty of cash to splash around now. Just need to off load Eddie and Jenkins
