Hey watch this...

1713685633695.png

How's the simhousery of the two team on the bottom of the qooty ladder being on top of the free kick ladder, and the team on the top of the qooty ladder being on the bottom of the free kick ladder. Outstanding areas!

The Warriors moved a game and a half clear on top with a 9-8 win over the Royals. The Wonders beat the Bombers 17-11 to join them equal on points, six behind the Islanders. The Roys (19-13 over the Dees), the Furies (28-20 over the Swamprats) and the Dragons beat the Gumbies 18-17. All three teams jumped above the Swamprats on percentage. The final result saw the Hawks beat the OOFs 12-11, keeping them rooted to the bottom of the ladder. That result was the fifth time that the Ophidians lost a free kick count by 1. Unluckeeee!

Exciting. 2 seasons ago I was dishing it out and not getting anywhere. Seems like the Joel Selwood approach suits me better.
It sure does mate! You're now outright leader in the Little Spoonon 47 frees, one ahead of norway blue and three ahead of Shueygod. Then there's a gap of five frees to royboy2 on 39 frees for, with Cubs2Lions & moginie one further back.

1713686305842.png
The Big Spoon is a hotly contested... uh, contest. Two playersd from both the Furies and the Delons are in the top 5, with a Hawk thrown in for good measure. Furious pair Edmund hunt and Frothies Mcveigh are joined by Dee-linquent Scythe94 (who conceded a wild four frees in round 11) on 22 frees against. Zoops is one conceded kick behind, while Gralin rounds out the top 5 on 19, three off the lead.

How bloody excitement!

round 12d.gif

Straight into it nerds.

1714120541197.png

Only one team in the top four had a win in round 12. Second placed Baghdad lost 18-21 to the bottom placed OOFs, the third placed Wonders lost 19-22 to the Dragons and the fourth placed Roys lost 12-17 to the Gumbies. This allowed the Warriors to take a 2.5 game lead thanks to a 15-14 win over the Hawks, their ninth free kick win in a row! Elsewhere the Furies beat the Royals 25-17 to move into second place on percentage and the Demons beat the Bears 20-14.

1714120891285.png

Remember when norway blue was leading the Little Spoon by plenty? Yeah that ain't the case no more, as the Bomber donutted to fall to third place on 46 frees for. Both crazywildhorse (53) and Shueygod (50) picked up 6 frees last week to establish a decent lead over the pack, while royboy2 (43) and Greenery (40) round out the top 5.

1714121063908.png

Two conceded frees each from Edmund hunt and Frothies Mcveigh see them extend their Big Spoon lead to two from Scythe94 who was a good boy last week, as was Zoops who is a further kick behind. Only problem is being a good boy is no good for the Big Spoon. Tied in fifth place on 20 frees against are Gralin and Pamcake1 (welcome to the sh*tlist Pam).

Coming into the final quarter of the season. Who's got what it takes to win this thing? Stick around and find out.

What does this all mean? What did I do now? How have I ended up here? Do I know you Tonga Bob ? Should I know you? Does any of this matter? Can I have my fees paid with this? Do I get a new jumper? A lousy Bob's hat? What's the point? Hi Gralin how are you doing?
So many questions, I never knew Quooty would be so complicated.

Hello Pamcake1 I'm doing well as it's a Friday night and that means no work for two days.

Qooty is pretty simple really, why I don't even have to think about it, it just happens

Oh look I forgot to post the round 13 results so let's just forget that round happened OK?

Here's the ladder after round 14.

1715667724534.png

A couple of losses has seen the Warriors lead reduced to two points. The Furies have won their last two so have been the biggest improvers, while the Dragons & Wonders split the last couple to join the Furies half a game off the lead. Meanwhile the Bombers have dropped their last three games and the Swamprats have a draw and a loss to show from their post-bye fortnight.

At the other end of the table the Hawks have lost their last 3 and the Gumbies their last two, so the round 13 win that the Old Boys had sees them half a game from removing themselves from the foot of the ladder.

1715668256215.png

crazywildhorse (61) has made a run for the line in the Little Spoon at the 800m mark, enjoying a 5 kick lead over teammate Shueygod (56) with long time leader Norway (51) blue a further 5 kicks behind in third place. royboy2 (48) & Greenery (44) round out the top 5.

1715668322616.png

And just like the Big Spoon, the Little Spoon is led by two Furies players with Frothies Mcveigh (29) leading Edmund hunt (27) by two conceded kicks. Scythe94 (25) is in third place, with Zoops (23) keeping the two kick distance trend continuing. And finally we have Gralin Irish BlueBagger & Pamcake1 all tied in 5th place, one kick behind Zoops.

Here's hoping I remember to do this week's one, what with all the wacky fixturing going on.

round 15e.gif

I don't get it either Rocky.

1715924139183.png

Coney Island had a 16-14 win over Sin City which, when coupled with the defeats that the Furies (17-25 vs the OOFs), the Wonders (15-18 vs the Demons AND 17-19 vs the Bombers) and the Dragons (16-17 vs the Las Vegans) had, saw them re-establish a six point lead atop the ladder. That means that one more win will see the Warriors go back to back in the Silver Whistle which you'd have to admit is peak simhousery given their position on the other ladder.

The OOFs win saw them jump off the bottom of the ladder after sitting there for the last six rounds. That 'honour' now sits with the Hawks, whose 6-9 loss to the Roys was their fourth in a row.

1715924655763.png

The top 5 in the Little Spoon remains unchanged from the last update, although Shueygod has halved the 4 kick lead that crazywildhorse used to enjoy, norway blue & royboy2 have done nothing and Greenery is making a belated charge at the podium.

1715924846461.png

Frothies Mcveigh has extended his Big Spoon lead by one from Edmund hunt with a couple of Delons in Scythe94 & Gralin technically near enough if bad enough, and a couple of Hawks in MP_ & Zoops a bit too far back probably.

Ah crap it's raining now, just in time for me to go to the pub. Crap.

Well nerds, we're still a week out from the end of the home and away season but one of the awards has been decided.

1716527430275.png

Honestly, how much of a campaigner is the sim to allow a team that it hates winning qooty matches to win the Silver Whistle? Thant's right, thanks to the 20-15 victory over the Bombers on Monday Friday 4 night the Coney Islanders have gone back-to-back in this most prestigious of competitions. Despite only receiving the seventh most frees for and conceding the third least frees, the Warriors were able to win 11 of their 15 matches.

Elsewhere a 19-18 victory saw the Dragons overtake the Furies into second place, the Swamprats saved the best for last with a 21-8 thumping of the Roys which is the biggest victory of the season, the OOFs continued their good form (albeit too late to actually mean anything) to beat the Royals 17-16 - their fourth win in their last five - to sit in the highest ladder position they've been in since round 7, while the Hawks also won (20-16 over the Demons) which consigned the Gumbies to the bottom of the ladder with one round remaining. Realistically it's these last three teams - Gumbies/Hawks/Demons - that can win the wooden spoon as the OOFs have a much bigger percentage.

1716528231313.png

crazywildhorse (67 frees for) has pretty much wrapped up the Little Spoon, holding a five kick lead over teammate Shueygod (62). norway blue (58) is still third after getting 7 frees last round, with only HARPSichord getting more (he got 8) to sit in fourth place on 55 frees for. Greenery (51) is fifth, and has no hope of winning this unlike his Atalantans.

1716528493796.png

The other Furies quinella is still in full effect, with Frothies Mcveigh (32 frees against) odds on to win the Big Spoon. He's 4 kicks ahead of teammate Edmund hunt (28), with the Delon duo of Gralin & Scythe94 tied in third place on 27 conceded frees each. If they pulled their fingers out their blurters and gave away a heap of frees in their match up with the Warriors this week they may just take home the Big Spoon. I reckon they should totally do this personally. Anyhoo, MP_ is fifth on 25 frees against.

I'll do the needful and wrap it up after this week's final round of the home & away season, but looks like the winners are pretty much all over the line. The signs are real simple, B.
