Just heard on the 4pm SEN News that Channel 7 have axed Blue Heelers!

There are still 11 episodes to be screened but that will be it, Australia's longest running drama will be no more!

A sad day for TV when they axe Blue Heelers but keep pumping money into the worst show on Australia TV...HeadLand. I guess that was to be expected, it is made in NSW afterall.

Shy dont 7 do us a favour and axe some other shows. HeadLand and Home & Away spring to mind!

All I can say is, a decade too late. Now if they can just have a cross-over show where the Blue Heelers are all visiting a friend at All Saints, only for the hospital to blow up killing the characters in both shows, it'd allow Seven to put something decent on for a change.

In which way was it unrealistic?Sure there were some storylines that were a bit 'way out' but then how many australian TV shows dont have odd story lines.

Sad day alright even though it wasnt unexpected. I am a fan but kinda glad it happened in a way. The show can still make quality episodes but you get a feeling now is the time to end it before it starts falling down.
All I can say no matter what anyone else thinks thanks for a wonderful 11 years. Any shows that can give us quality episodes like Heelers can and give us a chance to see people like Paul Bishop, William Mciness (sorry spelling) and John Wood to us every week has done a lot of good for this industry. More than Neighbours and Home and Away can do if they run for 50 years.

which shows? i never watched the show but from what i can remember, how many police stations have been bombed in vic? or oz?, all that crap about lisa macune bro being a murderer and a smack head, my thomas is the crime capital of oz it seems.

The producers have a retired policeman who advises on procedures and i'm sure he would of allowed that story to go through .
BTW-There was a character called Ian 'Gossy' Goss in the show occasionally.I know the bloke who was loosly based on.

UNIT, for once in your life...SHUT THE ******** UP!

In your opinion, everyone in the media is a "media whore". As soon as someone becomes successful they are automatically dubbed a "media whore". Have you ever thought for one second that Lisa makes her living from being on TV, just like you make a living from getting your Centrelink payment every week. If someone is a media personality, how the ******** do you expect them to make a living if they arent on TV?

And for those who say "too much crime in Mt Thomas"...how the ******** do you expect them to make a show. The whole ********ing show was based around the local police solving crimes. If they were to make it realistic and only give us one crime every few weeks, that would make some riveting TV wouldnt it?

what about the bomb at the police station? this retired policeman may advice them on show topics/stoires but they will do a story regardless of how far fetched it is, if they think it will rate they will go ahead with the bullshiit story line just for ratings.
