The only problem would come with making a LAY bet on Betfair. Any way around this???

Just reverse the bet - for example if you lay a team @ $1.50 you are actually backing the other team at $3.00.

Your formula to get the BET odds is:

100/(100-(100/LAY ODDS))

Great spreadsheet by the way. Shites all over the one I've got.

Yeh I thought you would do it someway like that but didnt know if you had to have it 100/? because the markets arent set to 100%

Cheers :)

I can't believe that I found this after contemplating making something similar

What the market is set to doesn't matter for these purposes.

What is relevant is the commission but you probably don't want to over complicate things too much.

If you really need a formula for that, let me know.

Yeah I think I would probably use the odds less comission to not over complicate things.

perfect. now i can seperate my melb, syd, bris quaddies and find out which are more profitable. if i wasn't lazy i could even add groups for days but ill take a pass on that.

had the same issue Doctor, I just went and downloaded an older version and worked just fine albeit it does not have some of the new features.

Would also be nice to know the password to unprotect the sheet so that people can tinker with it themselves.

What is a good way to enter in quaddies tho?

Hard to fill in the odds bracket.

Just started entering today's bets, decided to make a separate *sport* for Quaddies and just put $1 at odds of $1024 but not sure what odds I will put for losses etc.?

Messes up the *average odds* bit, not that I am all that fussed about this

if you check the approximates before the last race could you divide that by how much you put it on for? ie quaddie approx is 2400 and it cost you 48 to put on then your odds are 50-1 then if you only took it for a 50c unit your odds would be 25-1. Not sure if thats of any help lol

Yep, I thought about that today as well.

I will work out a way.

Cheers mate.

If your super keen, you can approximate your odds of losing quaddies by working out what % of the book your selections represent for each leg, then invert and multiply them together.
