Alien/UFO Ariel school UFO sighting

Apparently a UFO had been sighted over the African sky in 1994 and then a few days later something apparently landed in a schoolyard in Ruwa, Zimbabwe.
This was witnessed by 62 schoolchildren, who had little or no exposure to TV or popular press accounts of UFOs and when they were all asked to draw pictures of what they saw they were all very similar to this pic

Pretty freaky really

There are a few more links to this if you search around on Google, but I just attached this one

I can just imagine it, sentient beings traversing space and time to land up in, all places ... a Zimbabwean .school yard?

Would you like to add something meaningful or just urinate on the topic because of a said location but bear in mind the later will not be looked upon highly according to this boards rules.

Make up your own mind before you post again.

Why not?

If they travelled all that way why would they give a crap where they landed if they were busting for a slash?

I have read about this case and it is intriguing.

Like you mentioned over 60 of these kids witnessed it while having little to no knowledge of UFO's prior like kids of today in 1st world countries have with internet and TV access virtually whenever they want which could sway what they think they saw.

Very interesting and not to dissimilar to our own Westall incident in which 200 Victorian students witnessed an event in 1966. grizzlym knows a heap on this topic and has discussed it before.

The cynicism was directed at the notion of intelligent life and 2, them visiting our planet, not the said destination

After all these are accounts....compelling ?certainly,, however far from the burden of proof required to establish beyond all reasonable doubt that this indeed was a close encounter of the the real kind

The moon would have been closer and of course, no waiting lines...

The Moon has no toilets on it...

I think if they have travelled that far in that kind of technology they would have highly developed manners and etiquette.

And who says they have refined sensibilities. We could be dealing with jabba the hutt

Is that one of the actual pictures drawn by the kids? Are we able to see anymore somewhere if possible? This is a really interesting one that i hadn't heard aobut till now for some reason. The reports of the older children being spoken to is a bit odd, considering the alien did a runner so quickly. If they wanted to send a message they got skittish pretty quickly.

It's funny how we are constantly reminded that there is no proof of aliens visiting us.

... Yet when there are mass witnesses like in this story (and there are numerous others) the vast majority of people simply dismiss it?

Because it doesn't fit into their world view.
Humans are stubborn creatures.
Pretty sad really.

agree

some of the time - the 'debunkers' have to say non logical things too. really quite unscientific in fact

as can be seen here:

http://skeptoid.com/episodes/4208

The Westall '66 UFO
200 students watched a strange craft fly near their school in Australia in 1966. What did they see?

"Aberrant reports from a few students, such as those who report that it flew over the school, or that it landed in the schoolyard, or the one girl who said she touched the craft as it lifted off, are much less reliable and probably safely discarded." - ummm, why are these reports less reliable, and why can they be discarded ? logic would dictate that the reports from people who were closest to the object would be the most important of all. but i guess that would create a huge problem for the debunkers, so they have to abandon logic in order to keep their beliefs intact.

It is insulting to say that what we saw that day wasn't real. I will never forget what I and others saw, even if I try to. It was something unearthly and i wish id never seen it.
