Well it's official - Hell HAS frozen over.:p
The original line up of The Saints are appearing at All Tomorrow's Parties this year. And for good measure Ed will be resurrecting The Laughing Clowns. Also appearing are Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, and some bloke that was in The Birthday Party once is doing some solo stuff.

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds will headline the festival.

Other Aussie acts in the line-up are The Saints, The Laughing Clowns, Robert Forster, Primitive Calculators, Rowland S Howard, The Stabs, Bridezilla, and The Necks.

On the international front, Spiritualized (UK), James Blood Ulmber (US), Harmonia (Germany), **** Buttons (UK), Silver Apples (UK), Afrirampo (Japan), and M Gira (US) have been named in the festival line-up.

January 9 and 10, Mt Buller Ski Resort, Victoria
January 12 and 16, The Powerhouse, Brisbane
January 17 and 18, Cockatoo Island, Sydney

Seeing the saints in action would be something sweet. It'll be their first melbourne show in 30 years. I wonder if they've still got it...

Hell froze over last year LL:p.

How is this for a coincidence. I played The Velvet Underground And Nico this morning. While having a break from work I logged on to this site as the album was playing All Tomorrow's Parties and bingo this thread was top of the list. I have not bothered to get a lottery ticket as all my million to one coincides have been used up in one easy hit:o.

As to seeing The Laughing Clowns let alone The Saints and Cave I suspect I pay what it takes.

You'd imagine it would be too hot in Queensland for hell to freeze over:p

The Laughing Clowns will be awesome. Also as Mr Cave and Mr Harvey will there at the same time as one Mr Howard I wonder if we might be treated to a bit a Birthday Party reunion????

That would be Rowland S. Howard.

As for the original Saints - they did perform earlier this year as part of the Queensland Music Festival. There was no Kym Bradshaw, but Ed and Ivor joined Chris for the occasion.

Great lineup - wish I was there.

And heres me thinking that getting married in January was a sensible thing because I wouldn't miss out on any footy....

Anyone want to marry a hot chick on January 17th so I can go to this gig?
