AFL match in London - 2008

Unfortunately the AFL match in London this year has been cancelled.

not a big surprise is it?? The last two matches in London were a joke - the teams don't care about the game even when they volunteer to go there.... If they were to play games in London then they should be competitive... Play one of the early rounds of the NAB cup there... If you can travel as far as Dubai another few hours wont make much difference!

Clarkey, is there a Pacific Cup or something each year?

According to the Surrey CCC website, the ground is undertaking improvements as soon as the Cricket season is finished , and hence unavailable for the match.

No, there is no Pacific Cup. This will eventually happen though as a number of AFL clubs are starting to take the Pacific more seriously.

In regards to the Oval, the match would not have taken place this year with or without improvements. It may not return for some time.
