Petrenko played more than 43 games (he played 76).

I should know, given the ribbing people have given me over the years for predicting that he wouldn't get to 50 (I still maintain that he shouldn't have, but he definitely did).
I find this very hard to believe. A very good judge of football talent guaranteed us, very early in his career, that he would never, ever play 50 games in the AFL 🤔
 
Who have we had in positions like captain, leadership group, senior coach, CEO, board member, assistant coach over our journey?
 
I can't help but feel that we as a club are well below average when it comes to recruiting and developing indigenous players.
McLeod, Johncock, Betts are three legends of the club, but it's pretty thin after that. Granted, we gave Charlie his chance, and took Milera in the first round...

I'd just love more indigenous talent in our best 22.

I really feel we need to invest more ($ and resources) into better indigenous relations, development and building a culture in our club where they will feel more valued, respected and safe. Because at the moment, I don't think that's the case.
