Well shit. One of the smartest players on our list. I always thought if he was 20cm taller and not injury prone he could have been one of the better key forwards of his generation - he is that smart.

He's one of few blokes who I would let go when he thinks the time is right, not that I want him to go.

His body has been through hell and back, and if he thinks he's unable to cope with another season despite playing (possibly) career best footy then I have to respect that.

That said, I hope he goes around again.

I love Winders, he is a gun and one of the best field kicks in our team. I don't think his body can hold up another year so he is doing what is best for the team. Legend material.
