Yep, as did Sammy and Armstrong, no surprises there given it’s their first season. Can’t wait until these kids get 40-50 games under their belts

His kicking is very very good. He did make 2’shit decisions in the space of about 30 seconds. But oh well.

Was at the game and was tracking the kids and how they move. Really liked how much Trainor is developing and his defensive efforts.

Sure he made a few mistakes but he is in game 3 so....

1 poor kick does not make you a horrible kick, Sam Banks didn't exactly have the greatest awareness either.

Made a few errors with ball in hand but that was more from inexperience/ lack of confidence than anything. He’s got good skills and 50 games in you’ll see those errors disappear.

Love how involved he is in the game.
Gets to a lot of contests and makes generally good decisions. His kicking has been suspect but I think that’s a fitness thing which will come in good time.

Yup, It isn’t a skill issue it’s one that’s about experience
But it’s something that will organically improve over time
Hope he keeps trying to take those risky kicks

They will be the ones that make him a very dangerous player for us

Love what we've seen from him so far. Kicking errors are understandable. The situational awareness to not handball (and to take the tackle) when he takes it in a heavily contested situation 30 metres out can be learned. I'm sure it'll be in his edits this week.

Only concern is his disposal. If he tidies that up, we've got a ripper.

Would like to see him start taking some KP defensive roles soon. He seems to have picked up the pace of the game the best out of all of the rookies. His future lays in a KP role, would hopefully the coaching staff start giving him some roles soon

He is doing things that you don't see from first year key/hybrid defenders.
To me he seems very good in the contest a great reader of the play taking the intercept, he was known for his kicking skills so don't know why some ppl are holding a few odd mistakes against him yes turnovers hurt.

but some of our best senior players are turning the ball over badly.

Yep, all about learning what’s required at the level and what you’re capable of. Took Rance quite a while to play within his limitations. What did Dimma say, got to cut out those Alex Rance moments?

He is fitting in very well.

Star. Who knows how good he’ll be in a few years time but he’s a 200+ game player and probably doesn’t ever come out of the team again outside of injury.
