Luke Parker
Luke Parker has plenty of football ahead and has already compiled a resume packed with impressive achievements. Since landing at the Sydney Swans via the 2010 AFL Draft, he has won a 2012 premiership medal, earned All Australian selection and won two Bob Skilton medals. In 2015, he was added to the club’s leadership group at the age of just 22, and has led the team as a co-captain alongside Josh Kennedy and Dane Rampe since 2019. While Parker is among the league’s elite midfielders, his strong marking and expert game awareness make him a genuine threat when rotating through the forward line.

Luke Parker

Your a goose he battled hard all day kept Andrews to 6 possessions at half time till the coach gave him a go in the middle after half time when the damage was done

bull he gave no chase and was non competitive until the game slowed down

the fan boy stuff for parker is ott, he never delivered in a grand final yet which sucks because he has been a key player and a great servant just staggers me he can get it done on the big stage and this year against the best.

You’re wrong mate - he kept Andrews accountable - his lack of impact was down to the ramshackle delivery into the forward line.

Plenty worse than him.

Another spectacular grand final just brilliant, gives us nothing
****ing hell you really can't help yourself.

Kicked two. Plenty worse.

One out as a forward at times. If he couldn’t mark it, it was marched directly to the other end of the ground. Provided no pressure once it went to ground but not helped by poor coaching and lack of help up the field.
What an awful take.

But it was true . Parker tried hard and the blame should be 100% on horse for that problem.

Some of the players deserve a bit as well. Deciding to kick to Parker versus Andrew’s was a ridiculous decision and then when it hit the ground which wa actually creditable to Parker the ball just was swept away with Parker trailing by 5m in every situation

Parker was there to negate Andrews. Which he did. The end.

He doesn’t negate him if the ball kicks kicked there Andrew’s spoils and the lions clear with ease. That’s not negating, that’s just ensuring that they have complete confidence that a kick in that area will be brought to ground and then the forward won’t be able to put any pressure on to keep it in that area.

But sure maybe you think that’s a win.

Parker was there to negate Aliir last week, which he did. Where was the criticism then? There was none because we won. There were many passengers today, so lets look at the team as a whole and not single out 1 bloke.

I for one am not criticising Parker. I’m 100% criticising the person who placed him there thinking that an inside mid on his last legs should be played as a the deepest forward because that might negate the opponents best marking player, knowing fill well that Parker needs the person to be under pressure from a range of other persons to make an effective tackle.

Ball goes there, and goes back again in 2 seconds.

That’s not on Parker. It’s on horse
