#CheerThisHey Siri, play "I'm Just A Kid" by Simple Plan. Amelia Martin a lifelong Bloods supporter turned Swan
She's the type of player who fits Gowans' game plan. A bit of speed but mainly good disposal into the forward line (from midfield or HHF) and strong defensively. Definitely VFLW would help with her development. Taking her instead of Juneja is a fair compliment.I'm cheering for Amelia to make the most of her opportunity. She's got 2 years to show she deserves another deal. Her height is on her side and I'm looking forward to seeing what else she brings. Hopefully gets games in the VFLW.
Bec looked really out of sorts v Tigers. I wonder if she is carrying a niggle or is just out of form?Debuts in place of Bec Privitelli whos omitted.
I wonder how her 12 hour firefighting shifts affect her at timesBec looked really out of sorts v Tigers. I wonder if she is carrying a niggle or is just out of form?
Bound to.I wonder how her 12 hour firefighting shifts affect her at times
I didn't know how else to share the post of a photo years ago with Amelia and Isaac when she was a very young fan that Maddy Collier posted. So I searched on google and found the photo of then and the now. Its cute
That's Pete Veerhuis with Amelia in the photo from Figtree Kangaroos and Ellie's father. Lovely bloke
I started writing a post at the weekend re that but then wasn’t sure that Ellie was at GC (rather than somewhere else), decided I should check, and then my attention wandered and I didn’t come back to it.I'd be a bit cheesed off about Pete wearing Swans gear if I were Ellie! Even if he was her junior coach - what about me, dad???!!! (Maybe Ellie remains a Swans supporter, just quietly.)

Was she playing in the match? I wasn’t paying much attention to the GC players beyond the names I was already familiar with (Rowbottom, Single, Harris, Davies, Whitford).
I think that when a team’s stars are being as comprehensively outplayed as the Suns’ were on Saturday, it’s hard for the role players and the bit part players to have much impact. Rowbottom rowed her bottom off and had a couple of good moments but we largely had her measure. Single was a little better; Whitford a non-factor. Their ruck had a decent tussle with Morph, but otherwise their better players were in defence, intercepting many of our kicks forward, especially in the first quarter. If not for those defenders (and one in particular whose name I can’t recall) things would have got real ugly for the Suns. She's named on the team sheet. Unfortunately only had 4 disposals and 1 tackle from 94% time on ground - so sadly pretty anonymous. Can't say I noticed her while watching.
103-21 isn't ugly enough? Gee liz you are a hard marker! The only GC player who anywhere near broke even was the ruck. Molloy's body work on her opponents was superb.I think that when a team’s stars are being as comprehensively outplayed as the Suns’ were on Saturday, it’s hard for the role players and the bit part players to have much impact. That would be her. She was very good in the first quarter. After that the dam wall broke somewhat (and our women started mixing up the way they were bringing in the ball).I think you mean Meara Girvan. She was good in difficult circumstances.
I've just looked at GC's fixture. Rounds 6, 7 and 8 might produce three consecutive weeks of absolute carnage unless Rhyce can wave a magic wand and find some immediate improvement from somewhere.103-21 isn't ugly enough?
