Media is completely over playing the Brady part in this, but what do you expect from the Brady ball washers in the media.

Money, contract length and being allowed to build it your way is what gets coaches to come to your team when no one expects them to, not 5% owner Tom Brady.

Think you’re being a bit naive …could be a great move who knows..

hahaha, thats exactly the type of ball washing im talking about. My point remains, if you offered Ben Johnson the same contract as the Bears there is no way in hell he chooses the Raiders just because Tom Brady is an owner. Stop it.

It might come down to money and picking his own GM vs what he thinks of Caleb as a QB and the roster of the Bears maybe being a bit better potentially. If he thinks Caleb is the real deal and the Raiders QB issues not looking likely to be resolved soon he may go the Bears.

Brady is running the Raiders' HC search. That he is only a 5% owner is irrelevant.

Building it in Johnson's image is exactly the pitch Brady has given him. Literally without Brady, Johnson would not even have considered the Raiders for an interview, let alone actually legitimately considering them as his landing spot.

I just want whomever is next coach is signed long term and backed for the duration. Too much impatience these days.

I wish Pat Graham returns too but that seems a long shot if there's even a chance.

When he signs for below market expectation on a deal to be the Raiders coach coz he believes in Brady so much ill say I was wrong. Until then I say thank your lucky stars youre going against the Bears as your main competition given they have always refused to pay a coach big money, not Tom Brady.

Ball washing? No disrespect but I think Albert Breer has a few more contacts than you

You're completely missing the point.
Anyone in the game knows the Raiders are willing to pay a lot to get their desired coach. That has been the case near the last 7-8 years under Mark Davis. And yet, despite that being well known around the league, Ben Johnson still initially refused to take an interview with the Raiders. It was only once Brady got more involved via an intermediary that Johnson agreed to interview.

The money is what it is, but if money were the be all and end all, he wouldn't have initially turned the Raiders down.

Graham won't return, and I don't think that's a bad thing.

Why would Kingsbury want to interview let alone want the Bears job? Poles and co turned him down for the OC job last year for Shane Waldron.

Never hurts keeping your name relevant in the coaching cycle.

But I can when you have a bunch of failed interviews next to your name.

Of course. There's a sweet spot somewhere between taking too many and being the forever failed candidate, to taking a few and remaining relevant among the various search firms who run these hiring processes.

And this goes for teams as well. I mean, Chicago's spray and pray approach has bordered on lunacy whereby I'm not sure they have a real clue of what they're looking for.

Not to mention Breer covered the Pats back in the day didnt he? So unbiased and definitely not a Brady fan.
Yeah, about that...

Despite covering the Boston Sports Beat for years, Breer doesn't like the Patriots and has been on a rampage for quite some time throwing shit at The Patriots and the Krafts.

This stems back to his dislike of Bellicick and his gruff pressers, where he often gave glib and terse answers to Breer's questions, no more famous than the repeated " We're moving on to Cincinnati " retort to Breer's question over a period of time.

The Breer / Patriots relationship got that bad that the NFL Network banned Breer from covering the Patriots.

Now I am sure that Hand Job Bob, with his backroom political influence had some part in requesting this.

So no real surprise that Breer is once again shit stirring The Patriots and Boston.

The guys been badly spurned by The Patriots ........ so shock / surprise....... he fires off another taunt at said Organisation.

Always look for the self interest, as Breer continues on with his relentless crusade and witch hunt on all things NE Patriots.

It would be smart for the Steelers to listen. They need to rebuild and well it's time for them to move on from Tomlin. Hard for a locker room to listen to the same speech every year when they are middle of the league.

All good and well if they’re totally convinced they have a willing candidate to take the reins who the Steelers are sure is a better choice.
Who would that be ?
