Hopefully I've configured the forward line correctly, a 3-way tie for first, 2 new inclusions and 1 rookie shows how makeshift the front 6 still is. Also, it turns out there's 30 options in polls now so I don't have to leave people out. Now is the time to vote for those players you think should've been picked to be on the field but somehow got missed.

Part 4 is looking at the Interchange:
INT: Interchange | Interchange | Interchange | Interchange | Tactical Sub

E: Emergency | Emergency | Emergency

Please vote for the four players you'd want to fill those positions. Voting ends Feb 28th.

Framework: We are pretending that everyone on the list is fit, uninjured and unsuspended, the only thing holding players back being age and inexperience. This isn't a Round 1 team either, just the Best 22 team against a random opponent in random weather conditions in a random round.

In the poll above are every player I've seen listed as a forward in either DreamTeam, SuperCoach and/or the Best 22 thread... Happy Voting! :smallfooty:

Fwiw, I went Lindsay, Tholstrup, Sharp and Howes, but yeah, hard to say. Like Brown but feel like I haven't heard anything about him in ages.

Imagine either Jefferson or Johnson will get a run because Goody loves his jumbo forward lines.

Bowey should only play if he's forward of the ball, Salem, Sparrow, Laurie and Billings shouldn't play at all. And realistically, TMac and Melk should be break glass in case of emergency options at this point of their careers (or just play Melk vs Carlton so he can ruin Weitering's life again).

I think the side is looking strong on paper barring injuries. Someone usually surprises out of nowhere to get a best 22 spot.
We started last year strong and barring ANB we should see improvement from most. Backline looks solid with Petty back there. Mids should see improvement from Oliver, Windsor but ANB gone and lack of proven depth bit of a worry. This is the year JVR turns into a star. That game towards the end of last year where he marked everything went so underrated.
Honestly expect at least top 8. The footy world have us so far down but it's good to have little expectations as I'm sure the boys can't wait to show the doubters the Dees are still a premiership threat.

Too bad Jai got the call up after the poll started. Now I'm gonna have to start this from the first thread all over again.
We can still vote for him as coach though, yeah?

I'm just gonna assume that the 3 missing votes are for Culley.
I'm happy enough with how it is now.

Close the poll before someone else votes and ruins it. YE GADS, CLOSE THE POLL!
So you don't want me to bump the thread and make it more visible?

I'll only accept disposal efficiency as a legitimate stat when it suits my argument though

A record-breaking seven changes in one go, that's a third of the team that got replaced from last year's voted Best 22. I reckon that most people would re-arrange this team to thier personal liking and I'd like to see how they'd make up the team using these 23 players.

Rather young-looking Interchange bench, although the whole team looks young-looking compared to what gets rolled out most weeks. As always, pretty much a 0% chance of this team ever being fielded even if the coach tried to make it true and also a thank you to anyone who voted because that's where the fun of these threads comes from.

Now to go back to tracking that cyclone that's headed to Brisbane for Opening Round.
