we can also blame our 2025 performances for the likely loss of Kalani White, the exact player our list needs. I can't see him picking us over the in form Gold Coast.

If Dees offer him father/son, he will take it.

However, he is dealing with a lot of personal stuff off the field (nothing illegal), but it can really affect his footy on any given day. Recruiters aware.

Family trying to put supports in place to improve the situation before draft time and then if/when he moves to Vic. Just be prepared for him to be a slow burn for a few years.

Am I the only one not entirely excited over Kalani White? Feels like a long term project player to me who may / may not even make it at AFL level.

We have plenty of those on our list already.

It’s great he’s tall and all but ****, last thing we need is more tall plodders clogging up Casey.

Even if we get Freo's next three first round picks it will probably be three picks between 15 and 18.

Would rather what Tigers got for Dan Rioli last year 100 times over.

I don't think anyone's frothing over him being a generational talent or anything - more the case of getting a bit of a freebie on a guy that has some ability and athleticism, especially at that height.

Will def be a slow burn once he's on a list tho.

Exactly. Has been rated as a mid-late second round prospect, he's not having a massive impact, at least immediately.

But given he's a key back or draft prospect, the timing just works out well for us.

Agree you guys take him should your recruiters tick him off. But keep expectations low. There have been occasions over the past 12-months he can’t get out of the car on game days, and also struggles to comprehend coaching instructions. Great kid, but a lot of personal stuff going on. Plenty of time to work through it though.

What personal stuff is that exactly? First I've ever heard anything remotely like that mentioned, and by a poster who's been here 3 days no less...

Keep it to PMs, please. Don't want to be on the hook for unsubstantiated rumours.

he's always looked good at training, that's all I'm going off lol. But I also like Toby Sinnema (not sure on the spelling). I just love free stuff though. :)

Never free mate, will cost us 2nd or 3rd rounders which we have completely disrespected for a good decade. (Petty and Fritsch aside).

That’s if we don’t **** off the picks for plodders from other teams 2nds on oversized contracts or by bundling them up to move unnecessarily up 2-3 spots in the mid to late first round.

That rant is definitely justified. The recruiters have had it pretty easy the last few years. Just trade out all speculative picks for earlier picks and looks at the Bigfooty phantom drafts before selecting.
