Too much focus on inside type, tackling disposal winners.

Nothing against the kid, but we've spent pick 12 of whatever on Tholstrup to play a role that Bedford would have played better for us

Couldn't agree more.

Looks like a better version of Sparrow to me. Hopefully there's much more there to what I've seen so far.

When exactly has MFC demonstrated it has coherent plans, and when have they shown they can sort anything through?

Seems like Goody intends on loading our forward line up with inside mids like Sparrow, Trac, Tholstrupp, Langford ect instead of fast agile pressure players.

Wizz by a fair margin.

If I was Freo and had a choice between Kozzy and Warner I’m taking Warner every time. Goal kicking mids like that are invaluable. Freo supporters don’t agree with me.

I definitely get the Kozzy love and I don’t want to lose him.

On needs, I'd go the opposite if I was Freo.

As mids, they've got Brayshaw, Serong and Young as a start, who are all stars.

They need scoring power and adding Koz to Bolton would be an incredible mix.

Warner would be a different type in the midfield though. But I get you point on Kozzy. Players like Kozzy and Warner both impact the scoreboard and that’s the type you need to push for a flag. I think Bolton allows them to go hard for a Warner type IMO.

Warner only kicked one less goal than Kozzy this year. Kozzys box office but Warner is undeniably the better player.

If he was to go and we have another middling season I can really see a massive drop off in crowds especially if Goody stays on

Warner is a big upgrade on Brayshaw to play that outside role. Grab him and tell Brayshaw to walk in free agency would be a good decision imo.

Sure Warner is a better player but you're going to have to give up significant draft capital to get him and losing someone like Brayshaw for free through FA hurts.

If I was Freo I'd target Kozzie over Warner. Think he's much better than the other small forwards they have, where as Warner is only marginally better than Brayshaw/Young/Bolton/Serong.

They really need speed and pressure in their forward half and Kozzie is pretty much the perfect fit.

They really should be contending over the next few years. Feel like JL is a bit of a dud coach though.

Brayshaw has 50 in near 150 games

Warner kicked 35 last year and is a much better kick than Serong and Brayshaw as well.

Warner would be freos best mid, he's more than marginally better.

In saying that, I love Kozz, and would suck to see him leave if it eventuates, but he is getting a reputation, over the past few years, of being an undisciplined sniper.

Dunno about far more disciplined I think you're not remembering half the stuff Farmer got in strife for.

I was going to say Farmer wasn't that much more disciplined, but he was just at the back end of that era before a real crack down came in so he was probably able to get away with more

This Byron Bump broke Krummels nose and left him concussed in 1999 and it was only a free kick. I'm not saying those are comparable players Farmer would never really go head on for a bump often, i'm mainly using that for reference not comparison (and i thought about that bump recently and wanted to show it), but Farmer could scrag with an opponent well off the ball without the same amount of cameras or umpires Kozzy has, and most of the time it was still picked up


I tell you what though Farmer in the modern day would quickly learn about dissent free kicks. Could really blow back at umpires when things didn't go his way
