It sounds like Port did very well getting Berry and Jack Whitlock. Port had berry rated before Reid and Whitlock. There was a lot of interest in Berry in the picks just before Port's selection. If Berry and Reid were off the board then port would have slid  back and picked up whitlock and others.


Interesting that Port were only going to use three picks...pick 50 became 46...which ended up being tom gross (alex dodson went at 53) Strange to be so committed to Tom Cochrane!


the Power gave up a pick they weren't going to use to ensure nobody else could pounce.
