Think one of the cleanest players in general. Footskills, handballs and roving. Cuningham's issue has always been simply getting more of the football. If he averaged 20 touches a game his impact per disposal has always been fantastic.

I was really excited to see him paired up with Hewett Cerra and a fit Kennedy, Cripps and Walsh. We were averaging enormous amounts of contested ball and uncontested ball early last year which would mean he'd have been fed a lot more of it than when he had Dow, Murph and Setterfield feeding him.

Hopefully he can get back to full fitness but even as a sub I'd love to see him come into the game with fresh legs and have his little cameo's late in the game.
When you reflect like that, our midfield has transformed from small guys to some decent beasts now :D

Soooo many people underestimate Jsos.

Watch him live and that may sway your opinion.

Agreed

But seriously needs to improve his set shot kicking. I don't think he's improved much since his arrival and it's important.

forwards job is to kick goals and then kick sm more and if in doubt - kick more...

defensive effort is a given in any good team.

I really like SOJ - but he is battling for a position just like everyone else in that forward line should be - except for Charlie and Harry

Wouldn’t say he’s ‘battling’.

Vying for a spot perhaps.

Jack Martin is ‘battling’.

Big difference.

If Jack Martin doesn't have a consistent year then he's on the trade table for 2024 imo, potential doesn't win us flags performance does, we have many now vying for his spot so it's time we stopped excepting mediocre as we have in the past

Any word on whether we are having a proper intraclub match?

Most teams seem to be having theirs over the next few days. In either case it appears it will be a closed session or would have been advertised by now.

Emailed the club to see if there was an opportunity for the boy to catch any of the players while in Wodonga.

Informed no, school visits only.

That's the Carlton I know and love...way to look after your regional members!
They've just spent two days on a busy schedule doing exactly what you're critising them for, so this is rather unfair.

It seems as though there was an opportunity to meet the players on Monday - your own lack of planning isn't cause to pot the club.

All for the school visits. My suggestion was scheduling something for regional members and fans on a 'community engagement' week would be a nice reward for members who can't easily access a training day or member events in the city, and for whom a trip to the footy is often a much greater time and financial commitment.

The club telling me directly that there was no oppotunity to meet or see the players gave me the impression that there was no opportunity to meet or see the players...thanks for setting me straight though.

AFL Player Signing - Monday 13th February - 4.00pm-5.00pm Venue: Les Cheesley Reserve

Lemmey is already better than pick 46. Looks like a pick 25 to 30 with the potential to be top 15 over his career
You sure you're not suffering a touch of premature evaluation, MJ? No reason to be ashamed, it happens to plenty.

criticising the club for doing good things at primary schools....heard it all now.

take the kid on a cafe tour of Wodonga, you'll stumble across a group of them at some point.
???

So we're just making shit up now?

And a cafe tour of Wodonga? Tell me you've never been to Wodonga without telling me you've never been to Wodonga...

IMO, think they are both battling, to be a consistent threat up forward...
We now have depth in that forward positions and scope for a kid to push them out...

Important year for both of them, if they can kick 30+ goals this year and cement their position in the team...
It would elevate our team to the next level...
