Our first victim of 2017:

Ben Cunnington

The Match Review Panel's findings were as follows:
Ben Cunnington, North Melbourne, has been charged with engaging in rough conduct against Taylor Duryea, Hawthorn, during the second quarter of the Week Two JLT Community Series match between North Melbourne and Hawthorn, played at Arden Street on Sunday February 26, 2017.

In summary, he can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Hawthorn Football Club, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact to the head. The incident was classified as a two-match sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacts the penalty. An early plea enables the player to accept a one-match sanction.

**** me. What a farce

So a guy on the ground turns and leans into Bens knee in the action of hitting the ball away somehow equating to 2 weeks or 1 with an early guilty plea. GAGF!
What about the bullshit rough conduct/headlock LT got.

Duryea should be suspended for attacking Cunningtons legs.

Two weeks down to one for that.

What a sham the AFL is.

Is that 1 match for JLT as well or round 1.

If yes surely just accept it. If not then yep, challenge for sure

That is crap. As soon as Ben see's the guy turning he trys to stop. He's not allowed to slide in, he's not allowed to jump on the ball. What the **** else can he do.

The AFL is doing every thing in their power to incentivise players to not go for the ball.

Absolutely - had he slid into him and hit his head he would probably be looking at 2 - 3 weeks so he stays on his feet just to see Duryea fumble multiple times before diving forward into him as he ran in to try and get the ball.

The ball was literally between his legs as contact was made

Just a dumb decision all around. Pulls up because the Hawthorn guy is on the ground, Hawthorn guy tries to get rid of the ball by lunging at it and hits Cunners' stationary knee. Anybody with half a brain can see that wasn't intentional at all.

Maybe, only very slightly, I could accept 1 week reduced to a fine. But 2 down to 1? That is farcical.

So Cunnington might miss the game against us. Without seeing the video my first impression was that's nice. After watching the footage that is disgraceful, shouldn't be anything let alone a suspension.
Edit: very similar to an incident between Josh Kennedy and one of the Adelaide defenders a while back where the MRP didn't think there was a case to answer. nothing in it.
