Mac Andrew is all potential and not much genuine performance. Think athletically a taller, skinnier Balta. Top end for him is a skinnier NicNat - so worth pick 1. But if he stays skinny and his footy tools don't develop much then he's unlikely to succeed in the AFL.I'd guess that the recruiters reckon he'll get stronger, so that removes one big cross on him.In the end I'd say why the Tigers aren't so into him is that we have a youngish Nank, Soldo, plus Ryan and Mate. We simply don't need that young ruck for another 5+ years right now.As a tall forward he's pretty much uncertain. But his capabilities are amazing. I guess we reckon strike while the iron is hot to get good mids adn then recruit for a more proven KPF.All of which is to say from my uneducated opinion Mac Andrew is exactly the sort you'd want if you need a future forward/ruck, and reckon you can turn potential into actual capability. Relatively high risk, very high reward type.
