So with the carnage down back I'm going with 3 safe, 1 spec, 4 rook option - Mal, Shaw, Hodge, Newnes, 4 rookies. Thoughts? Leaves me a bit light on with only 4 premo mids though.

Dont like Malceski or Hodge but the idea is solid. Also not sure if 4 backline rookies will ever materialise.

Yeah, that worries me too. They seem to pop up eventually though. Someone has to replace the retired and delisted players.

1 minute i think about going really cheap, the next i'm spending a little extra cash.. Could make or break alot of teams this year..

thoughts on this starting 6 + emergencies..?

I think this is close to the mark. A fair bit will need to be spent I the backs this year.
