G'day,

only a week to go until we kick it all off, so time to start thinking about it. Hoping we can get some good discussion and winners like last year. am going to post my round-by-round votes again this year, and hope we can land some more winners like last year with andrew swallow winning the north melb votes at $14.

any early speccy bets going? will put up mine a bit closer to round 1, just want to make sure they all make it to the park.

meh. im not precious about whether people use them or not, if they do and make $, good luck to them, the more that win in these types of things the better.

if youre stealing votes, can you give back the missing Melbourne ones from a couple of years back?

surely it's a bit early for this? like someone said in another forum, does anyone know what the line is for the round 17 games?

Some nice value to be had with Centrebets over/under brownlow markets. Check it out

Will be betting on the brownlow again this year so happy to share my thoughts throughout the year. I dont mind getting on this time of year, already put a few bets on at nice odds in the hope that if they do shorten then i have gotten on at the good price. If not, then just bad luck.

Dane Swan, Daniel Hannebery, Joel Selwood, Jobe Watson and Nathan Fyfe all decent odds at the moment and all players who i can see shortening if they get off to a flyer. Hannebery in particular.

I have always believed that it is very tough to go and win back to back brownlows, the umpires see players differently the year after winning and it's harder to get votes. But the $10.50 for Ablett is still very tempting. If I was to pick the top 3 in no particular order I would go Ablett, Rockliff and Swan.

I'm going liberatore as my early roughie

Sloane for me.

So, votes for tonight? Hard to see, Fremantle had 8-9 great contributors (can't see Johnson, McPharlin or Ballantyne who all won their positions comfortably getting votes though, Sandi an iffy either). Fyfe was BOG for me but missed a quarter, Barlow was pretty good, Pearce and Hill were eye-catching...

If I had to guess the umpires it would be 3. Barlow 2. Pearce 1. Hill but I think Fyfe broke the game open in the 2nd and is a worthwhile 3...
