Official Match Thread Season 41 Round 7: Fighting Furies vs Las Vegas Bears at rfctigerarmy's hippodrome

A fairly stark contrast between sides on the ladder sees the top of the table Bears clash with the up-and-down Furies at the hippodrome. That makes me wonder how a bear vs a hippo would go in a fight, and I’d back the hippo but you just never know. Well the hippo weighs way more and doesn’t even need to carry sharp objects as they’re embedded in their face but… oh back to the match.

The went down to the Roys last week by 35 points after only being a kick down at three quarter time. After 18 goals combined across three quarters, the two sides decided to kick 16 together in the last term, but unfortunately the Furies only kicked six of them. The Bears on the other hand defeated the Warriors to hand Coney Island a second straight loss, and say thanks very much for top spot.

Can anyone beat the Bears? Well yes, it will probably happen this week as the sim loves to shart all over teams in form. Anyway, the Bears have been great, and MWPP has been leading the way though a stack of teammates are posting up storms. Cap is already raising the bat each week, while Milky95 and that person who only has one working key on their laptop in SSSSSS have also been huge in-thread.

The Furies on the other hand are much like my beloved Dragons, ShaunDuggan is one of three co-captains and has already been spanked by Gralin for team selection thanks to co-captain James Colorado , while Orange crush makes me thirsty but for the context of this discussion is the other poster in double-figures.

Everything points to a Bears win in terms of their form and activity and that is exactly why the sim will go ‘oh no you don’t’ and hand it to the Furies. Watch out for 84859300 which is a unique way of drumming up business but I like it.

Furies in a close one because… the sim.

which was the same year we went all the way and won the premiership.

Back in Season 22, the 6th win that sealed our best ever start to a season was against the Furies. Now they are the ones standing in our way again. We are heading into the Hippodrome as ladder leaders and the form team of the league. Get in the thread and show them that the Season 22 vibes are back.
