A really good contest here sees the in-form Dragons - who have strung three consecutive wins together - take on the posting machines that are the Baghdad Bombers. While there is probably more than a few concerns about having a football match in the Middle East in the current political climate, fortunately the SFA gives as many shits about player welfare as the Warriors have flags.
Baghdad is yet to win two in a row this season, while the Dragons dropped their opening two games and looked in real trouble until the met the unwinnable Royals, the winless Old Boys and their version of The Bye (Coney Island) to now sit 2-3 coming rested and refreshed off a bye in Round 6.
The Bombers will be hungry to bounce back in the best way possible at home, and will no doubt make their presence felt in the thread with DemurePrincess averaging as many posts as my 25-year career put together. She’s well supported by co-captain Jabba73, while on the field, Pamcake1 is coming off a strong game in a tough loss to the Gumbies, and Kilroy booted three goals before being plinked in a back pocket.
Dragons FFC do not quite have the posting power of the Bombers, in fact it reminds me of the time McDonald’s tried to sue an Illinois family restaurant called McDonald’s and the poor bloke was even called Ronald McDonald. Anyway, the difference in volume is similar to this match up, but the two sides have had just as much success in recent times.
Of course the Dragons are the reigning premiers and now have four flags in the last 20-odd years which is the best in the competition (according to that Warriors Qorn Hub thread on the Dragons). The Bombers have the most flags of any team with six, including three since Season 23.
From a team perspective, the Dragons’ premiership side is largely intact other than the retirement of PhenomenalV1 with Hatchy1992 returning to full-forward and enjoying a strong year. T2B_ and serial_thrilla provide the defensive support, while the team is probably (almost certainly maybe the Roys being the exception) the most experienced lineup in the competition with six players having 250+ games including two over 600.

You may be reigning premiers but that doesn't faze us, we do have more premierships than everyone else after all.
