GUMBIES 1ST V FURIES 12TH​

As it's the last H@A game of the S40 season I thought it would be a good time to have one last chat with the Gumbies captain Falconista and the Furies captains James Colorado and ShaunDuggan to see what they think about their opposition and reflect on the game ahead. It seems tho the Hippodrome is closed for business and the Furies are not taking calls so we will get to talk to just the captain of the team leading the H@A ladder going into the last game before finals.

Tigerturbulance: The Gumbies are sitting first with 11 wins coming up against a team that has only managed 3 wins, how has the gumbies prepared for the Furies and what will be emphasized in practice this week?

Falconista: Quite simple really, we’ve channeled our inner degenerates. We got pissed on goon, slept in or adjacent to dumpsters, spent too much cash at low-grade adult clubs and, for some reason, dressed up as furries. All in all, it was rather a fun time at Hydatina Physis' place.

Tigerturbulance: Furries have shown plenty of weaknesses this season, what do you see as the Furies biggest strengths if any coming into this game, and what areas are you focused on improving?

Falconista: James Colorado is an adonis of a man (from the much underrated s33 rookie crop!) with good musical taste and an even better arse. One really should focus on improving his qooty identity from a magenta and lime colour scheme to a double blue one.

Tigerturbulance: Gumbies are not known as a team that trains very hard, are there any gumbies who have stepped up in practice this week or who you expect to have a big impact on the game?

Falconista: cats_09 has previously towelled up TRUMAN#1 in the ruck. School is still in fashion, so TRUMAN better prepare for another lesson.

Tigerturbulance: What are your initial thoughts on the lowly placed Furies and where do you think you can gain an advantage against the Furies?

Falconista: Furries are good company but you sure as hell wouldn't bring them home to meet your folks, and as for needing more advantages!?! It would lean towards bullying if we sought to further advance ourselves.

Tigerturbulance: How do you plan to attack the Furries defense/offense and what are the most important elements of your game plan?

Falconista: The recipe to our success is no secret. Our cocktail of success is made of 3 parts;

• those who ingratiate themselves with the qumps and play for frees
• those who will go the biff 'if needed'
• and a squeeze each of beez and DenieD who bamboozle opponents with their beauty.

Tigerturbulance: Gumbies sitting top of the ladder playing for what, does a win against the bottom dwelling Furies mean anything?

Falconista: Alas, we're the Gumbies, so probably just means we're a game closer to straight-setting out of another finals campaign.

Apologies Tigerturbulance, given the intense media scrutiny that has followed the fall from grace of the Furies in S40 (what with tumbling from a GF to spoon contention), our decision not to engage with the media is purely a means of blocking out any outside noise in an attempt to rally the troops for one final match up.

Thanks Tigerturbulance , I just want to give you a bit of an insight into the Furies team. We’re a bunch of unique individuals, NaturalDisaster, Bastyy, James Colorado, Greenery and myself.
