Roys FFC vs Coney Island Warriors

All time record: Roys 7, Warriors 13 wins, zero draws.
Last 5 games: Roys 2, Warriors 3.

As we pass the chudshake stands to enter the hallowed turf of the BJO, one thing remains certain: the Warriors are hot. Sitting two and half games clear of second they could have taken pity on the Hawks last week, but chose to twist the knife en route to winning four of their last five matches. Conversely the Roys are in a preacarious position at the edge of the eight on percentage only, they enter this week on a two game losing streak with a pop-gun attack which is near the worst in the league.

There are some bright notes for the Roys however; despite the shambles around her JackNah_8 pumped her opposite number at the Furies (which is probably a lesson in team selection itself), and midfielder Runk has been putting up solid numbers all season despite a poorer showing in Round 7. Looking towards the offence, there are plenty of questions: who outside of fitzroybowiedog is going to score? The vet himself is scoring in bursts so it's very much a feast or famine a the pointy end of the Roys. Rookie Zevon is second on their goal scoring list with 6 majors, clearly showing the vet needs some help.

Over at the boardwalk, it's all backslaps and high fives, and why wouldn't it be with this sort of start to the season. Thankfully, the Sweet FA has seen this before from the Warriors and the onus is on them not let their early season fortune turn into the traditional late season fade-out. They can do this by toning down DockerDen5215's uncontrollable antics which sees him near to league lead for frees given away. Other than that there is not much to hate on; harry000 is at the top end of scorers, full-back NaturalDisaster clunked 10 marks in his last outing, and Dinsdale is winning the respect of his peers and internally run song contests.

This week should see another Warriors win, but if FBD gets off the chain it's anyone's game.

Captains: do the teamsheet thing by the right time. Daylight "savings" switchover is next week TIF; consider this an early heads up.
