A very hearty welcome to the MFC, Taj Woewodin.
Son of MFC brownlow medalist Shane, Taj is a small(er) utility from the great city of Perth, Western Australia. National hero Jason Taylor praised Taj’s attitude and work ethic, which is all you can ask for really.
Taj, this your destiny. You...
Data from footywire. To check the draft order see the thread here.
Footywire says: "While we make every effort to keep up to date with player contracts, it is likely that our data may at times be out of date, incomplete or inaccurate. If you find any player contracts that need updating...
.......the worst Brownlow medalist to ever pull on a Guernsey, well done umpires you f#*ked it up again :drunk:
Easy to pull votes when your surrounded by spuds :thumbsu:
If there ever was any doubt over the Brownlow’s credibility this just put the final nail in the coffin
...cliff this season. Averaging less goals, less tackles and over 25% less touches. This to me is showing 2017 was an anomaly, much the same as Woewodin's 2000 fluke year.
Mamtin in 2020 according to player tracking using afl.com.au/playerpredictor/Mamtin
Consider this; he is no longer in...
...to a brownlow medal, and no-one really considers them to be in the top echelon of players in their era. But whose is more embarrassing?
Woewodin snuck under the radar for a season during a rare trip up the the ladder for Melbourne in 2000.
Cooney fluked his Brownlow when Ablett missed games...
...of BF just the other day and it reminded me of a couple of old cards I had.
I have a Garry Lyon Select Premier Card from 1998 and a Shane Woewodin Select 98 card available is a collector wants to purchase.
Both cards are in excellent condition, having been kept in a hard plastic card...
With every game he plays Cooney takes one step closer to overtaking Shane Woewodin as the worst brownlow medalist in history.
He was shit in his brownlow year, the stuff he's been dishing up ever since is borderline embarrassing :o:o:o
The first brick on the road back to premiership success and glory has been laid, with the appointment of Shane Woewodin as an assistant coach.
As most would be aware, Shane Woewodin was a champion player at Melbourne, at his peak winning a Brownlow medal.
Michael Voss also won a Brownlow...
Surely he only got votes for having a great looking missus because his football year was mediocre at best. Just ask Pav what he thought of the win after Juddy split his face open earlier this year. Shouldn't have even been eligible!!!!
The worst Brownlow winner in history.
Stepup, Chris Judd.
(3 votes in a 9 goal loss)
(2 votes against Freo, when McPhee beat him).
You just have to LOL.:)

Interesting to read CC's comments:
Melbourne football operations general manager Chris Connolly endorsed Woewodin's coaching credentials.
"He has been very successful rebuilding East...
I haven't heard his name thrown around yet but I think this is someone who could bring a lot to the club. An excellent trainer, good profile and some coaching experience I think he would add something to our club either as an assistant or senior coach. I certainly think he would help to...
The Brownlow Medal is a complete disgrace. How did Adam Cooney win? He isnt even in the top 10 midfielders in the AFL, let alone the top 10 players. The Brownlow Medal stands for absolutely nothing, the umpires cant even get umpiring right, how in the world are they going to get voting for the...
For anybody interested it was just reported on 6pr that Woewodin was interviewed by the eagles for an assistant coaching role today. It was rumoured that the eagles were interested in him a few weeks ago and now he has been officially interviewed for the role.
The short list doesn't appear...
This guy is a idiot.
He is still nominating for the national draft. Can't he come to terms that he won't get picked up and he is not even good anymore.
Still can't believe how he won a Brownlow.
Here is a link to the 1290 nominations for the National Draft...

BROWNLOW Medallist Shane Woewodin has added his name to the raft of retiring players, announcing he will end his decorated playing career at the end of the season.
In the same week as Anthony...
After 200 AFL games for Melbourne and Collingwood, and 2 years as captain /assistant coach of East Fremantle Football Club, Shane Woewodin is hanging up his boots to pursue a career in coaching.
(And just FYI - He and his wife have just recently had their 4th kid).
Woewodin set to...
Hows Shane Woewodin been travelling in the WAFL has he been playing some good, reasonable, average or poor footy? Could he be a long shot at getting back into the AFL Or is his career well and truly over?
Obviously by my username you can tell I am a huge fan but I was wondering if it is possible for a club to pick him up next year cause he is playing some good footy in the WAFL. I hope Fremantle pick him up and give him a chance your all probably thinking we don't want the dud but I believe that...
The decline has started. Sad really. Once a champion, Brownlow medalist, now desperately out of touch and frustrated. Similar age to Woewodin when his career went into freefall. Swans should trade him to Essendon:D
I know he was unfit, wasn't playing to well and all the rest but he wasn't the worst player on our list at the time.
Surely he had another year in him?
It seems unfortunate that Shane Woewodin will be remembered as a hack when in fact he had more good seasons of football than bad. In years to come, people will think of Kouta as an awesome Carlton stalwart, but lets be frank here, Woewodin was a sacrificial lamb for both Melbourne and...
