Couldn't see a thread, but I'm popping in to pay tribute to PhilDavis. A modern leader, both on and off the field, who epitomises the footy club. One of the many things GWS got right during the challenging early days.

Cogs Skip, Toby vice
Davis, Whitfield, Kelly, De Boer and Hopper make up the rest of the squad
I think on the face of everything when added together, he is the best recruit I have ever seen in the AFL for another club He is the best captain in the league. His attitude is refreshing. He is great in the media and they are a club that needs it. He is someone who in the role as captain...
Realised I never shared this outside the industry forum, but here's an interesting interview with GWS Giants co-captain PhilDavis on everything from salary negotiations to expenses like upgrading to business class, and that you earn 5 cents for each AFL game card 😂
Give it a listen: here, or...
Is there nothing else to whine about that Scott has to cry about redpath getting his right whack for his inexcusable malicious gut punch to PhilDavis gut?
The gut is known as the second brain, and crucial to mental well being.
Obviously sooky Scott doesn't care about player welfare ! Sad!
At last night's North v Gws....the crowd resembled a wake...and a couple of guys kept yelling out to Phil.
Phil obviously ignored them.
But it went on all night.
Someone on our Board suggested they went from end to end yelling out his name.
Anyone know why and does this happen at GWS games...
Can someone explain to me why GWS have persisted with the co-captain situation and PhilDavis in the role.
Ward is a terrific skipper, should have the job on his own.
Heroic Greater Western Sydney GIANTS Co-Captain PhilDavis remains in hospital in Sydney on Monday night after injuring his kidney against the Swans last Saturday, as part of the price for his utter destruction of the seriously overpaid Spuddy Shanklin. Davis received an allegedly accidental...
Just saw that in the Sydney Mx that PhilDavis, who gave Buddy a bath on Saturday, did so the hard way, with a damaged kidney - for which he underwent surgery for on Saturday night.
Pretty courageous.
Giants supporters,
I just saw on twitter that phildavis who is co-captain of GWS Giants is having a Q&A session tonight on twitter. His handle is phildavis_1. Thought it might be interesting to ask him some questions re trade as he was the first bloke to go to gws from crows. may also have...

Even though I am a staunch crows supporter and hate Port, I would like to congratulate Jackson Trengrove on staying with the club. It shows a person (and his family) with the utmost integrity. Compare to PhilDavis, a mercenary with little integrity. Phil please take note.
It is big news that we all already know, PhilDavis heading to GWS, the question im asking is, Is he a bigger/better signing than any of GoldCoasts last season "except Ablett of course"?
Gold Coast struggled to sign the young KP players such as Davis, this is a masterstroke in my opinion...
Cash Rules Everything Around Me
Good on him, I say. He has family and friends supposedly in Sydney and Canberra, and is setting himself up for life.
Life is too short. Crows have plenty of backup
PhilDavis just confirmed as the first uncontracted player to GWS.
Very sad for them, RS star nom, remember the great game he played on Moons last year, good tall defenders don't grow on trees.
Surely Palmer and Scully will announce soon, along with whoever else is going.
Given the age group...
...the Crows.
He's the third Adelaide player, alongside Walker and Vince, rumoured to be in the sights of GWS.
"I don't want to lose PhilDavis," Craig said on Thursday.
"It would be the same if we lost Taylor Walker. said Craig, accordingly to the AFL website
Hopefully no one has made...
...Bad news for you guys.
Sounds like PhilDavis might be one of the uncontracted players signed up by GWS.
That would be a big blow considering you lost Bock last year.
I rate him, good promising youngster.
