Out of contract free agent

Dogs have apparently got a contract in front of him but with the potential of Liam jones in does cordy leave and someone pick him up for free as a KPD?

Zaine Cordy has been sent straight to the Tribunal for an ungraded offence for his shepherd on Tanner Bruhn.
This is a simple case, Cordy was allowed to lay the shepherd. If he got him high...
...on his game. Like Stuey Dew in the 2008 GF, we know that having a bit of a gut can actually be an advantage if you know how to use it. Is Cordy one of these players who can use it to take his game to a new level?
2. The gut is an indicator of poor conditioning. This one I find a bit harder...
Data from footywire. To check the draft order see the thread here.
Footywire says: "While we make every effort to keep up to date with player contracts, it is likely that our data may at times be out of date, incomplete or inaccurate. If you find any player contracts that need updating...

The Western Bulldogs have secured defender Zaine Cordy until at least the end of the 2021 season, after he agreed to a three-year contract extension this week.
The promising 21-year-old has become a mainstay in the Bulldogs...
This is an absolute disgrace, from Tom Boyd especially.
The kids on a ridiculous amount of money and he goes out and let's his teammates and coaches down by getting pissed. Absolute embarrassment.

Who would you rather inn your side, a multi million $$ potato who's kicked 4gaols in 15 games orr a a cult status hero who rains down goals and plays for penuts
When Doggies fans were lamenting the wasted time put into Ayce Cordy over the years and he gathers 4 possesions in his first two games (inc 4 clangers), it seems bloody bizarre that Cordy (and Boyd I guess) are keeping Will Minson out of the side by round 5.
Obviously did the trick last week...
Well it has happened, after seeing Ayce Cordy named as the first ruck in the Sunday squad on Thursday night, the warning bells were there for Will Minson who was sitting on the pine.
Fast forward to 5pm Friday, it has been confirmed that All Australian ruckman Will Minson is out and Big Ayce...
Ace Frehley is 1.85 tall, and just about to turn 64.
Ayce Cordy is 2.04 tall, and 24yo.
On 2 May, AF will be playing at the Forum in Melbourne. AC is likely to be playing VFL at Vic Park on the same day.
My question is, could AF play a role alongside Toyd, and give Minson a chop-out in the ruck?
For those that remember Justin was with us around 2005-2006 before being stolen by cricket australia. At that time we seemed to be one of the fittest teams in the comp.
Last year we seemed to struggle to run out games but I suggest it might have taken him 12 months to implement change but the 2...
And now it becomes clear why he fell so far and no one else bid for him.
Another reconstruction on his shoulder really disappointing for the kid.
Dalrymple I think your the weakest link.
The Doggies are laughing all the way to the bank with this one. They put up the shutters and said nothing all year and they hit the jackpot.
Pick #$%^ 61!!!!!!!:cry::cry:
You have to be kidding me.:eek:
Moore at 8 is great
Heeney at 18 is sensational
But Zaine at 61 is outright...
The Western Bulldogs have added their fifth father-son to the senior list, taking defender Zaine Cordy with pick 61 at this morning’s bidding meeting at Etihad Stadium.
A versatile and athletic tall defender, Cordy was rated a top-30 prospect before bidding and slipped through to the fourth...
...progress of key father/son eligible selections in this years and next years draft, as well as covering players who have connections to players past and present.
Thought you'd all be happy to know that Cordy is absolutely flying.

Im interested in seeing opinions of who would be a better long term prospect of a ruck/resting forward.
We've seen what Campbell has offered in the last few weeks vs what Ayce has done in his time so far. Personally I think Campbell is ahead of Ayce. Not only is he bigger bodied, he can lead...
This is a good one to start the season off with. A lot of people are split on Cordy. Some very good things to take from the Brisbane game, as Ash Hansen discusses.
Both similar players in height and physique.
From the same draft, picks 14 (Cordy) and 8 (Vickery). Vickey was thrown in much earlier so has played 54 games to Cordy's 9.
Who would you rather?
...is developing at Willie? He is regularly in the best and on the 1 occasion he played in the P/S at Ballarat he was fantastic.
Roughie and Cordy are almost exactly 1 year older and have been in the 'system' for at least 2 years longer. How would people on the forum compare Tom with these...

Obviously all the hype is about King Tutt but I didn't get a chance to see the game and just wondering how Ayce went on debut? Did he win any one-on-one contests or take any good marks? Looks like we got done in the hit-outs so obviously he didn't spend much time rucking.
Surely Ayce's nickname has to be 'Jaws' after this effort from the Herald Sun:confused::D For the kids out there Jaws was a character in a couple of Bond movies played by Richard Kiel, who was also in Happy Gilmore.
