Not quite. Kako was the highest rated small forward and he was in Essendon’s NGA. Joe Berry, OllieHannaford, Jesse Dattoli and a few others were in the open draft pool.
This year you have:
El Achkar (Essendon)
Basil Hart (Freo)
Wes Walley (WC)

Great news about Daniels. Was a bit nervous when he came off, but all is well. With Jesse, Stringer and Briggs all back for the Hawthorn match after the bye, couldn’t really ask for more on the injury front.

I would agree with the general idea in your post.
It’s become very obvious how important quality small forwards are in the modern game. The giants have really made a point of going after small forwards. I think Carlton should do the same.
Carlton’s small forwards have not been durable...
...they paid up big for Phoenix Gothard at pick 12 and added Harvey Thomas as an academy player with pick 59
Then in 2024 they took OllieHannaford with pick 18 and traded for Jake Stringer (who's more a hybrid type like Greene but still)
That's a massive amount of effort in bolstering that...
We are desperate for a quality small forward. I was hoping we found a way to get OllieHannaford in the last draft. Matt Owies isn't the answer though, he is more a lead and mark type, a poor man's Paul Curtis.
Lachie Keefe has had an evergreen career at GWS since crossing over.
Kudos.
Who would have picked it?
Who would even have thought he’d have a career better than Josh Thomas?
Well done.

Absolutely. Potentially a Callum Brown, Phoenix Gothard, Harvey Thomas or OllieHannaford to be added too, instead of Riccardi.
I would just opine that this bench is too tall. IMHO Stringer plays the third tall role rather than a medium; and we've already got 4 talls in the backline with HH &...
If sandhurst got 2 “locals” drafted every year im sure they would still be happy and if they don’t well then there is always a chance they can return as 1 pointers either straight away or after a short vfl career. Hey they may even bring a few mates they have made through their connections or...

Your lad OllieHannaford sounds like he disagrees with Mick?

He talks about the stigma of toxic masculinity, especially at all boys schools.
Actually sounds like a ripping lad...
