Mead came into the conversation because someone literally suggested taking Josh Worrell (pick 28) or Charlie Comben (pick 31) at pick 25 instead of Mead. Which was not possible because we were using picks later than those two to match the bid on Mead.

    Autopsy Party time - JD300

Channel 7 has become a circus. BT is a lot better on Triple M. So its essentially how 7 wants the team to operate. Boring, unimaginative and getting anything wrong in general. On the radio, they get all these things right and its relevant to the moment. Lack of competition kills the quality of...

He's developing really decently. Had a solid year last year in his first real crack after some injuries. About to turn 24, good size and has turned into a really decent reader of the footy. Think North will lock him up long-term with the promise he's showing

...and he actually leads at the ball carrier! Hansen Jr and Kostanty look promising too - our forward stocks are only going to improve. Charlie Comben yesterday was exceptional! Showed everything you want in a key defender and has the talent to become one of the best in the competition. I was...

You've just highlighted that having the 2 superstars fit hides many woes and allows the team to play the way they do. Superstars justifying poor systems because they're just too good anyway.... This team is and has been for years. Superstars or bust.

My bigger issue is the trend. The trend is that we are falling further and further behind the latest strategic improvements. 2023 we got our act together and went pretty close to challenging with a list in a fantastic age profile. 2024 saw major cracks start to open. Despite having incredible...

Player Watch #11: Luke "Two Dogs" McDonald (Part II) - Steps down from Co-Captaincy for 2025

I just don't think you can free up Comben against a side with 4 legitimate key talls. Nicks will know that having watched the game on the weekend. They will play Curtin forward for most of the match is my prediction, which means Charlie will have to take a man at all times. We can't play all...

Good points and all very valid. Perosnally i think we need to try and fre eup Chom at all costs, but it will be veru difficult to do that this week. I wouldn't worry too much bout curtin and I would be disappointed if we couldn't stop his influence.

Player Watch #11: Luke "Two Dogs" McDonald (Part II) - Steps down from Co-Captaincy for 2025

Who is he playing on? The only matchup I see suitable is Fogarty. He's nowhere near big enough for Thilthorpe. I don't think he's big enough and good enough for Tex either at the moment. Curtin is too mobile and they moved him between forward and back on the weekend anyway when needed. If im...
